Elnico is amazing not only for the food menu, but also for the ambiance. The interior decor is beautiful and the rooftop views incredible. Recommend, especially on sunny days, to enjoy their unique & creative cocktails.Food: 5/5
We were looking for a drink spot in Williamsburg with a nice sunset view and we may have stumbled on the best one in the neighborhood. People were very nice, the outdoor seating comfortable, our margaritas excellent but the reason to come here is for the amazing views. They have both indoor and outdoor seating and it's breathtaking from just about any vantage point. Expect this to become impossible to get into as the weather warms up - also curious to try the food, which looked the part but we didn't have a chance to try.
Everything I tried here was absolutely delicious! It was hard to pick a favorite. Drinks are creative and fun and the mezcal list is extensive and impressive. The panoramic views are gorgeous and the whole place is picturesque! The deconstructed pecan pie was one of the best desserts I’ve had in a while. Will definitely be back!Food: 5/5
This place may get really loud on Saturday night but hands down: the food and the the cocktails were great. The food menu is short and could be a bit extended but it didn’t disappoint. Plus, it is created by a female Mexican chef. If you are lucky and order a variety of mezcal to try from an impressive list of choices, Christhian the bar manager might come tell you the stories of how and where each was made. He might even have a surprise for you. We dined here two nights in the row and both experiences were pleasant.
I almost don’t want to leave a review for fear that this amazing secret Williamsburg place will become impossible to get in to. Wonderful interior design, really cool aesthetics, views to die for, and an instagrammers dream even the toilets!. The food is exceptional. I forgot to take a pic of the menu so I can’t remember what my starter was called a very tasty cheese on a big round taco. Gorgeous. Vegetarian soft shell tacos for the main were gorgeous and the Churros were a perfect way to finish off The staff couldn’t have been more friendly and attentive! Love this place and will definitely be back… often!
I honestly don’t know why more people aren’t talking about elNico. I’ve been a few times now, and I think it’s one of the best cocktail bars in the city. These are my recommendations: the Bidi Bidi Bom Fashioned, Santo Pepino, Passion Berry Negroni, and Panamericano. If you like spirit forward cocktails, get the Bidi Bidi Bom Fashioned. Toasted coconut, black sesame, and Szechuan peppercorn is a flavor combination that you wish you had earlier. I’m addicted to this and get this every time. The Santo Pepino is super easy to drink. It has lacto-fermented cucumber and dill. I could drink 10 of these in a sitting, easily. Passion Berry Negroni I didn’t see on the menu this last visit but honestly any of their seasonal Negronis are great. This time was a Pandan Negroni. Typically I don’t like Negronis and I can rarely taste Pandan in cocktails but I love this Negroni and you can definitely taste the Pandan! Panamericano wasn’t on the menu when I was last there, but I see it online. It had cantaloupe, hazelnut, and a slice of cheese in it. Sounds weird but it’s delicious and one of my favorites. I think right now they have a different version of it. For food, I always get the guac and chips to start. I’ve had different versions of tacos and tlayudas and they’re always great. They may be some of the most expensive tacos you’ll buy LOL but I promise they look and taste amazing. I prefer to go before 10PM because afterwards they turn down the lights and it becomes quite loud, but if I’m in the mood it’s such a great vibe! I have no complaints of service, always friendly! I truly love this place and hope it gets the hype it deserves. One of my favorite bars in the city!
Great location, easy parking, maybe I was lucky parked right in front of the hotel. Great vibe, decor and views. Perfect for a date or night with friends. Service was great. Food was delicious but they would do well to increase the portions, as most every one else has said. My 6'2" husband inhaled his two birria tacos as they were smaller than his palm and cost $18..I too was disappointed in the 2 shrimp on each of my shrimp tacos, again $18. Would definitely return if the portions met the cost, otherwise it was a fun one time thing.
IG worthy place with the craziest bathrooms since indoor plumbing on the 13th floor was invented. Cocktails are great, slightly adventurous and get you where you need to go. Great for large parties and staff was so friendly and accommodating. Next time I’m going to stick with the small plates and the tacos as they were the highlights. The birria and beets were great! I wasn’t a huge fan of the chicken milanesa…can’t pin point it exactly but I wouldn’t get it again. Everything else was great!
Go for drinks on a nice day when you can enjoy their rooftop terrace. The view is lovely - especially at sunset. The interiors of the restaurant are notably fun and well considered. The menu needs to be tweaked. It feels like its designed around profit margins instead of a passion for the food. However, I’ll be back for the view, drinks and the Crab Tlayluda.
What an amazing experience for brunch. We had a few things like the Crab Tayluda, Chili-Killers and Steak and eggs. The food was all fresh and healthy; you can tell each dish was made with love. Camillo who waited our table gave us some suggestions and asked us what kind of drinks we preferred. Ended up with a table of strawberry tomato margaritas and “Kiwi Me Softly” wholesome puns on the drink menu. Would definitely be back for the views and during happy hour.
