Throughout my journey as a chef I've always been attracted to cooking with live fire. The glowing embers of a fire are so beautiful with purpose. To a great extent, managing the fire for cooking means managing the fire to produce embers.

Menu changes every month so we highly recommend coming in before end of Sept for the delicious abalone and pork belly appetizer and the fall off the bone osso buck. Even the house made bread was to die for. The food was simply phenomenal. But be prepared to wait, as they don't take reservations and it will be busy.

Every time I come here the food is always amazing and often there's a touch of something fun and unexpected. Great beer and wine selection. They also pull a decent espresso. I rarely order dessert, but the oven toasted marshmallow is a must. Think salty, sweet, gooey, and crunchy all in one!

Wow - an incredible find~! I always use Google Restaurants to see their star rating and Ember was 4.8 which strongly suggested it was a good restaurant. Upon arrival we were told we had a 35 min wait (no reservations excepted) and while waiting a nice young lady named Harmony asked if we would like something from the bar...I immediately knew we were at a special place~! All I can say is you MUST go to Ember as it is off the charts fantastic. My wife and I live in Thousand Oaks and we have already decided we will drive 2+ hours north to come and eat at this place again and spend the night in Arroyo Grande~! Everything from the salad, appetizer to our entree and cocktails...and did I mention the deserts?? All were absolutely fantastic. Can't find a restaurant this good anywhere in the Westlake Village or Thousand Oaks area. Can't say enough about this place...GO and DINE and indulge~!

Crazy heatwave and weather. No problem! Unbelievable meal without a hitch... Food was spot on. This is not Domino's Pizza, but if you want an authentic woodfired pizza, you definitely are at the right place. Service and accommodation are always a priority. We are back again and again!

The restaurant is great. Food, service, staff were excellent. James was are server an he made us feel right at home. Thank you ember's.
