MTS is the largest student-run theatrical producing organization at Emerson, providing the campus and Boston community with a full season of events each year.

The Musical Theatre Society of Emerson College is an organization run for students, by students. Members of MTS and its Executive Board and General Board hail from all majors and departments across the College. Though our backgrounds vary, we all have a common thread that unites us: we aspire to create and perform quality, progressive musical theatre to benefit the Emerson College community and the city of Boston.
Our annual season includes a fully staged and produced Fall and Spring musical, a staged reading and/or concert, our yearly O-Show (“orientation show” for incoming students), a New Work, Annual Auction, and a week-long fundraising campaign and Gala concert to benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. MTS is proud to be the largest collegiate donor of any institution to this cause and is the model for BC/EFA's "Campus Cares" initiative.
Our mission is to make available to all Emerson students the opportunity to realize and develop their talents through the performing arts.
