I actually go to this school, and I would recommend this school to anyone. I used to be in a school where I was taught nothing. I was bored all day, and when someone was being bullied THEY would get in trouble instead of the bully! This was Glenview Elementary. Emerson Elementry is very welcoming to everyone. I learn at least one major thing every day. My teacher is Mrs. Davis, pretty much everyone has said that she is the best teacher in the school. There are some bullys here and there, but almost everbody is caring, sweet and welcoming. And if you have a problem with somebody they will talk to both you and that person and sort things out. I used to have one boy who would be so mean to me, but then I asked Mrs. Davis if me and him could talk with her and share our story's on what was happening, after that we became best friends. I made two best freinds on my first day! I love Mrs. Davis because, she has a back bone (which not all teachers have), she is hilarious, etc. TONS of people in 5th grade said under their yearbook pictures, "Emerson is like my second home". Also when I first came to Emerson (which was this year), I was SO nervous. I was nervous because, I was coming way later than anyone else, so pretty much every one knew each other! I came this year in THIRD grade, and almost all the other third graders came in kindergarten! But Emerson was there for me, they welcomed me in. I love this school. If your kid is in elementary school, I would totally recommend this school!

I can only give this school 1-star, and wish I had the option to give it only 1/2 a star, my grandson had a rough start at this school, with its preferential treatment of Caucasian and Asian, they allow these children to bully others with no consequences, my grandson was hurt at this school and the details so sketchy, no one really knows what has happened. The teachers are too busy talking to themselves the children are not monitored like they should be, I would not recommend this school to anyone, and cannot wait for my grandson to be at another school, there is nothing good about this school at all, it is such a punitive place and that is not the message I want my grandson to feel as if he is being punished, for being the sweet innocent child that he is, this school has not been good for him.
