Emerson Park:
A spectacular 135-acre site located at the northern end of Owasco Lake. The parks broad lawns, bathing beaches and historic buildings are unique in the Finger Lakes for their size and beauty. Hosting many recreational and athletic events, the park shines as the showplace of Cayuga County. On the shores of Owasco Lake, Emerson Park Pavilion is a model of Colonial Revival architecture featuring grand columns, oversized windows, and expansive lawns. The Pavilion can host events from 50 to 500 people and is operated by H & J Hospitality. Completely renovated in 2012, the Pavilion is climate-controlled and makes and idyllic setting in all four seasons. Enjoy Owasco Lake while strolling along the restored seawall and shoreline offering one mile of winding paver block sidewalk and donated memorial benches. Gazebos at the end of each pier offer park patrons a front row seat to the natural beauty of Cayuga County. The park offers boaters easy access to Owasco Lake with a launch for power boats and another for smaller vessels. For those who want the convenience of mooring their boats on site, there is a small marina with boat slips available for rent.
