For the most part I love this school, it is close to my house and everyone is very friendly. My daughter has learned a lot and is still friends with her kindergarten teacher as well as all of her previous teachers. However Sue Payne a teacher in the fourth grade likes to single out certain childeren and make it hard for them to make it through the day. One time during free play my child didnt feel like running around and playing as she wasnt feeling to well so she wanted to sit down and read and she made her play. Last time I checked this is school and if my child wants to read then so be it. She plays all the time at home not to mention plays several sports. That is not the only thing which has caught my attention as there has been many other things. The most recent thing however has been the straw that has broke the camels back. The kids had a project to do and while my daughter got a 19/20 i am highly angry. She got a point deducted because the teacher said it wasnt colorful enough. Well since when do we grade based upon opinion. Not only had she used plenty of different colored markers but she had printed pictures out and put on this. In her eyes and mine, and not to mention another teacher whom I know at the school said it was perfect. Then on the sheet where they graded the paper Mrs Payne wrote the wrong grade down two times before getting it right. She scrached out the previous ones and wrote "opps" Well I give you an E! You a grown adult not to mention a teacher and if you make errors like that how do you expect a child to be perfect. You may want to look in the mirror and ask your self if you are really still cut out for this job. Seems to me like your on a power trip and your old and bitter. Maybe a job as a Target Cashier would better suit you. You need to leave my child alone, otherwise I will be requesting a teach change as I will not tolerate her coming home with a perfect project and crying her eyes out because you deducted a point on her project becase you thought it wasnt colorful enough. There were no requirements on how colorful it needed to be.
