I’m giving one star because the attendant was such a nice lady and because 0 stars is not available. But this place has lost its touch. I went there to get two Quipes thinking they were still good but it was not. They were disgusting!! I also ordered a “guava and cheese empanada” let me just say that ain’t no guava and cheese empanada. There was something that looked pink inside but had no guava taste at all. I basically threw away 10 bucks! Thank you so much for that. I will never think about this place as an option to pick up anything from there. Not worth the time or aggravation! Simply bad.
I'm glad this place open early in the morning. Their empandas is so delicious and run out very fast. Coffee is also good too. I went to work in the area so I don't see a lot of place that I can get a breakfast in the morning. So this place is one of choice for me.
I'm a regular customer at this store, the lady at the front counter is very nice and friendly, however, this Sunday 8/20 the young guy in the kitchenMelvin didn't want to take my order "because he had a delivery" and on his way back he had to prepare another online order. This talks really back about the store, so if anybody is willing to get his/her order refused they can definitely ask Melvin for their food.
I do not recommend. Too much crust, fillings don't have much taste and they were "oily. I've tried twice and won't be going back again. Does "Monumental" translate into "not very good"?
The food wasn't fresh.....tasted like old oil. And I asked for a quipe the girl said there's none because they close at 10 it was 9:15 and two other people came and they fried for them, I was waiting for a yaroa. The one in 207 is way better than this one in 142, horrible.
The empanadas were WAY bigger than we were expecting. Two or three per person would have made the perfect meals rather than the four per person we ordered!.
One of the best empanadas in upper Harlem. The natural juices are delicious and refreshing. This place is good for a quick bite. They have limited sitting, so buy to take out.
They have really good shakes and empanadas, the home delivery is good and the counter girl is very kind. I give them 4 stars because some of the kipes they have are a little sour sometimes and has a weird flavor.
