Prior to enrollment, I had the worst experience with Jackie. I believe she's the "Head of Admissions" at this school. She's rude and inconsiderate! I was enrolled, had the contract processed from their former admissions advisor named Jenna. Only to be told from Jackie that I was not accepted to they're school weeks before class started due to an invalid diploma. In the most condescending way, She said in order for me to attend their school, I'll have to go get my GED. I'll have to pay X amount of dollars and depending on how dedicated I am, I can be done as little as 2 weeks, Blah, Blah. Blah! Thats BS!! I was puzzled with disbelief as to why she would say such things. Anyways, I'm glad I didn't listen to her advice and went with my gut feeling because I would of ended up wasting money on a GED that I didn't need in the first place if Jackie would of did her job! What a Huge disappointment for wanting to learn. A waste of MY money for the enrollment fee and time!!! FYI: MY High School DIPLOMA IS LEGITIMATE!!!! Recently, I've enrolled with an awesome beauty school who did their part to inquire a student. I'm on my way to elevate my skills and I'M STARTING CLASS SOON! As a consumer, I will never step foot in this place again nor would I recommend anyone else. Lack of professionalism, Knowledge and poor support from the staff. I don't understand how people like this are still around? Its unfortunate and sad. You can THANK JACKIE for that!

I go here and they made sure I stayed until the deadline and when you get locked in 22,000. They help me and show me so much attention before I was locked in but After that it was a totally different story. Do not come here still way you will be very upset.

I would give zero stars but that is not an option. I was promised that I would be taught how to do hair, makeup, extensions, nails and given all of the tools to help me succeed in school and once I left. That wasn’t the case. EVERYTHING in the kit that I used on clients BROKE not even my first week on the floor. The flat iron I received didn’t have the right temperature settings and had to wait a whole week for a replacement that was no better from the stock room. It was CHEAP and I had to go out and REBUY ALL OF MY EQUIPMENT TO FINISH SCHOOL. It cost way less to rebuy everything than what I was charged for by the school. I was never taught extensions because the supplies were not in stock at the school when we got to that portion of class, only fusions. I was told I would learn how to do 14 different braiding styles, only learned the basics and rushed through it. Makeup kit was a joke. I was only given eyeshadow, lipgloss, and blush and weread out of the book what each brush was used for ( no brushes are included in your kit but the sponge ones) and watched YouTube videos in class of makeup tutorials, which I already do at home. Then when the kit got upgraded you could have it only if you paid MORE MONEY, but what was the point if makeup wasn’t taught at all. My mannequin for textured hair was so awful that she couldn’t be washed without knotting up and nothing was done about it so her hair was ruined. Every week we had random rule changes and nothing was organized on the teachers behalf and most of the frustration was taken out on the students. A lot of stealing, bullying, and favoritism. You feel more like a number here rather than a student who wants to be taken seriously. A teacher sent another teacher an email concerning my clock in hours that I would not be able to make up hours if I kept taking longer lunches. I didn’t know what was going on and when I asked that teacher, it was as if she never brought up what was said in the email. We were also told to be professional and no gossiping, but some of the teachers did a lot of gossiping as well and it was very well known around school. I have had numerous of people ask would I recommend going here and the answer is NO. If I had known what this school was really about, I would have NEVER come here nor would I EVER recommend this school to anyone who wants to further their career. It’s a trick, they tell you everything you want to hear at the tour to find out it’s nothing like you were told. They made me buy the tablet ( explained that I already had the same tablet at home ) just to download the app to read the material for about 2-3 months and never used it again. As a student I honestly felt manipulated to feel like everything that was wrong with the school was our fault and if you ever had a concern it was never really handled the right way just a bunch of talk to make it seem like they had your back, and the moment something went wrong we had to fix it or get some type of punishment. I have tried and tried to stay positive about this school but I didn’t appreciate how we were treated, I didn’t appreciate the favoritism of how some students got away with things, and I didn’t appreciate how the teachers attitudes changed. I will NOT let this slide to keep seeing next coming students go through the SAME thing that I went through. They need to know the truth Empire and they deserve it. I hope that everyone at this location sees this and really, really understands my frustrations, the stress that I went through and understands that I wanted nothing more than to get what I paid for and was promised and now have to pay back a healthy loan with the outcome of broken tools, barely any knowledge of hair techniques except for the only the hundreds of flat irons I did just about everyday and disappointment. Empire needs to really reevaluate their education and know that there are people who take their schooling VERY SERIOUSLY and I hope whoever decides to go here next sees this so that you don’t make the same mistake of going here and wasting your time and your money.

The first time I came here it was summer 2016 and I got a full foil and highlights and it turned out great . I just came back from a disappointing visit, and this is the 2nd time the stylists here have messed up my hair. I had a streak of golden blonde down the middle of my hair,and it turned out horrible. Then they told me since they had taken too much time to fix the dye, that I couldn't blow dry and straighten. At least they didn't charge for a part Left with my hair just washed and had dye on my face and neck. What the actual heck.

THIS PLACE IS TRASH...VERY UNPROFESSIONAL....I ATTENDED THIS SCHOOL A COUPLE YEARS AGO...I LOVE THA PEOPLE AND THE STAFF....AS OF TODAY I WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS SCHOOL TO ANYBODY....I MADE AN APPT WITH KAYLA....ALONG WITH MAKING AN APPT I ALSO SCHEDULED MY MOTHER AN APPT..WHEN MAKING THE APPT KAYLA RUSHED ME OFF THE PHONE BUT STILL VERIFIED I HAD AN APPT MADE BEFORE HANGING UP...I CAME IN FOR MY APPT TODAY...MY APPT WAS FOR 6PM. THEY LOOKED IN THE SYSTEM AND FOUND NO APPT.(LEAH WAS AT THE DESK). THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME MY APPT WAS NOT SAVED. I ALSO REFERRED MY COUSIN TO COME GET THEIR HAIR DONE...DURING THE NIGHT SHIFT KATIE WAS THE ON FLOOR INSTRUCTOR AHE STATED THAT AT THIS TIME NOBODY WILL BE ABLE TO DO MY HAIR PROBABLY..I WAITED AND WAITED...I PULLED MY PHONE IN BY MY MOTHER AND SAT DOWN. AT THIS POINT IM PRETTY UPSET. JACKIE WALKED UP TO ME AND TOLD ME THAT I NEEDED TO SIT IN THE FRONT. I TOLD HER IM TALKING TO MY MOTHER AND I HAVE CAME HERE MULTIPLE TIMES...NOW AFTER WAITING AN HOUR STUDENTS WERE OFFERING TO DO MY HAIR BECAUSE THEY WERE DONE WITH THEIR PREVIOUS CLIENTS...A COUPLE ASKED KATIE TO DO MY HAIR...SHE TOLD THEM NO AND THERE WAS NOT ENOUGH TIME. KATIE CAME UP TO ME AND STATED " HERES THE DEAL...YOU WERE RESTRICTED FROM GETTING YOUR HAIR DONE HERE FROM AN ALTERCATION FROM JAN. 2016 WITH SARAH WHICH IS AN EDUCATOR"...SO MY QUESTION IS IF THAT WAS THE CASE HOW COME I WAS NOT NOTIFIED. I DO NOT EVEN KNOW SARAH...WHY WHEN I CALLED ANS MADE APPT THIS WAS NOT MENTIONED? WHY DID YOU NOT TELL ME THIS WHEN I SHOWED UP? WHY DID I WAIT UNTIL 730PM TO BE SEEN AND MY APPT WAS AT 6PM? THEY ARE VERY UNORGANIZED...AND TO PUT THE TOPPING ON THE CAKE...I WWNT TO SCHOOL HERE...I PAY MY STUDENT LOANS TO THEM TO BE TREATED THIS WAY...IS THIS HOW THEY TRAIN THEIR STUDENTS TO TREAT CUSTOMERS...I GRADUATED 5 YEARS AGO AND I ALWAYS COME BACK AND GET MY HAIR DONE...I AM STILL A PAYING CUSTOMER....I DO NOT RECOMMEND ATTENDING THIS SCHOOL...SO HOW I AM BANNED FROM A SCHOOL IM PAYING FOR?
