A low-key and somewhat dated (pun intended) venue, interesting and worth the stop, even if only once. For the museum, conveying the historical information is primary goal (not entertainment) and comes by way of indoor exhibits (some of them activity-based for kids), many placards, a modest 25-minute mixed-media movie and some points of interest in the surrounding grounds. Some outdoor event stages apparently provide concerts, depending on the sason. If you are not already familiar with the Oregon Trail history, this museum will help put you in better touch with the legacy of the area.

Lots of history here. It's off season so not so much going on which was disappointing. The computers weren't working that help to show the history which also was very disappointing. It was very expensive for what was going on.

Nice displays and explanations of the Oregon trail with a focus on the people and their stories. The movie is well worth the watch.
