I have known Doctor Feintuch for over 10 years. At the time I needed several root canals and I had let one go until one was extremely painful, so bad that I needed a friend to drive me to the endodontist. Since I needed an immediate appointment they gave me the new guy, and that happened to be Dr. Feintuch. Meeting him turns out to have been a great bit of luck on my part. In addition to the tooth emergency, I have a problem with local anesthesia not working for as long as it is supposed to. Most dentists can't keep me numb long enough to do anything more complicated than a filling. Dr. Feintuch was the first to solve that problem for me. He was also very gentle, and made me comfortable about the whole experience. His mantra was "I don't want to hurt you" and he meant it. By the end of that first day he had corrected the cause of the pain and started the root canal. Within a day I was feeling much better. Since that time he has had to do several more root canals for me. Each time his is careful, caring, and competent. He is also a genuinely nice guy and is always pleasant and easy to be around. After a gap of almost 10 years, a few weeks ago I needed another root canal. I called his old office and they told me Dr Feintuch had moved to Paramus and was in private practice. That's a 45 minutes drive for me, which is complicated by the fact that I am disabled. Such is my appreciation for this doctor that I decided to make the drive rather than use the local endo group where he had previously worked. The office is in a modern building on Kalisa Way in Paramus, located a few hundred feet off Route 17. There is ample free parking. The office is clean and relatively new. The office staff and dental assistants are competent and very pleasant. My experience has been that Dr. Feintuch values his patient's time, not just his own - he runs right on time unless there is an emergency. Right about now you are probably saying "my dentist says he can do the root canal. Why use an endodontist?". Well, sure he can. And the mechanic on the corner can rebuild the transaxle on your shiny new hybrid SUV. But it probably isn't going to turn out all that great. Endodontists are specialists. They have the training, experience, and equipment to handle even the strangest stuff they might find under that crown. For instance, Dr. Feintuch has a large and undoubtedly expensive microscope that allows him a 30x view of the base of the tooth, as opposed to my dentist who makes do with a pair of 3x glasses. I think the training and equipment makes for more comprehensive care and fewer complications. In my personal experence I had a root canal started by a general dentist and it had to be revised by Dr Feintuch after it got infected and the pain exploded in my jaw. It turned out the roots were strangely shaped and the dentist was not able to get them properly cleaned out. The cost was the same regardless of whether it was Dr. Feintuch or a local dentist doing the work. If you are in need of endodontic care, I do not think you will find anyone better than Dr. Feintuch. Good luck with that tooth!

I never thought I would say that having a root canal would be such a pleasure. I came to Dr Feintuch's office as an emergency - I was in SO MUCH PAIN. The staff was very calming and reassuring and I felt comfortable being there. Dr Feintuch was very patient with me and really went the extra mile to make sure that I was comfortable during the procedure and that I would leave pain free. He really and truly cares about his patients. Thank you Dr!!

I visited Dr Feintuch for a complicated root canal and had the best painless experience ever. It was complicated because my general dentist was unable to numb by tooth on 2 occasions and so couldn't perform my root canal. She told me she hasn't seen such a case in 20 years, there my a fracture, she doesn't know and I should consult an Endodontic. I was paranoid about getting my root canal done. My friend's fiancee recommended me to visit Dr. Michael Feintuch as she had a great experience with him. I trusted her and got an appointment following Friday. It was a very smooth experience, the doctor got me numb in less than 2 mins. And I didn't feel a thing. The doctor asked me like 10 times during treatment, how I was feeling and I just put both my thumbs up. For any root canal treatment, I can't recommend Dr Feintuch enough. I wish he could do all my dental work. Please see him and I bet you won't be disappointed.

Beware of 20% (or any other %) coinsurance the office will charge you. All "in-network" providers must charge the same amount based off of contracted fee schedules. The office will not provide pre-determinations and charge you the 20% upfront based off of the doctors balloon fee which is usually almost doubled the contracted fee of with your insurance carrier. You should only pay 20% of the contracted insurance rate for the service provided. Consult with your insurance company before giving any payments upfront to this office.
