Glad Ames finally has a great cigar spot! From my first visit about a month ago, I could tell Doug was sincerely passionate about the world of fine cigars. He has extensive knowledge about his inventory and the cigar industry as a whole, which he is more than happy to share with you as you peruse the humidor. It makes for a unique shopping experience, that feels more like a relaxing hang out with good company…instead of the usual “get this transaction over with and stop bothering us”. He is really great at helping you find a smoke based off things you have had or descriptions of flavors/characteristics you are looking for. I’d also suggest being a little adventurous and let Doug make a recommendation or two. I’ve been back several times since my first visit, and this experience has been consistent. Thrilled to have you guys in town, looking forward to my next stop in!

Not as big as I thought it was going to be but the owner was very nice got up showed me around suggested some cigars had some that you can't find anywhere else I had a Pina and enjoyed it very much. I will return.

Hospitality, relaxation, and good company. Doug, Jules, and Nick are genuine and kind people who create a comfortable and welcoming environment. They known their product and customized the cigar suggestions for all parties during our private event. 10/10 would visit again. Great for novice smokers like me or people who have been smoking for many years.
The lounge being open to smoke is such a long time coming. Order a drink and it comes from next door to be delivered right to your seat or byob. The walk-in humidor is amazing and the knowledgeable help, invaluable. Already a great little community of regulars coming together so always friendly faces that are open for conversation, a game of chess, throwing a sports event on the tvs, or talking pipe/cigar knowledge of which there is pleanty. Reguardless of a quick stop or a whole evening, this is the perfect environment for the master cigar smoker to someone who has never had one yet. And no matter where you are on that scale, Doug and Nick are always quick to help with any nuanced or general info on cigar choices.
Doug and Nick are a couple of terrific guys, running an excellent establishment. Doug takes pride in being able to dial in on what type of cigar a person may like, and he's never steered me wrong. There's a lot of room for the patrons to be able to use the resources provided to create the kind of environment we'd all like to see in a successful lounge. Noir, the bourbon bar next door, is on board to provide a masterfully designed array of drinks. There's a solid group of regulars who have been wanting to see a place like this in Ames for far too long, and you can put good odds on some of them being around on a given evening to put in their two cents, or just keep you company. The first major event was a delightful evening, and I'm looking forward to many more evenings using brand rep visits, sporting events, it's-the-end-of-tte-week, or whatever other thin excuses we can come up with to get together and fetch-a-stick.
Friendly staff with a great amount of knowledge on cigars and pairings. They were very thorough and helpful in helping me select and tryout my first cigar.
Homey and friendly atmosphere, awesome selection of products, and it is a great place to hang out and make friends! Come watch the football game, play chess, or come check out the special events that take place!
