This location is wayyy behind the one in Hartsdale. I had to ask for my Hot Dog Grilled, no bread, got it anyway. Server says they never do that but he would "do it in the back". The Dirty dishes were left in front of us long after we finished. The other order was Half Sandwich of Pastrami. So greasy, she had a hard time so took of the bread and used a napkin to get the grease out. There was a Sign next to us that said if you use a Credit Card you are automatically charged 4% extra!! Are you kidding. The meal was $25 without Tip. Bathroom was disgustingly dirty and could not wait to leave. Only reason we went was to be close to where we needed to be. Never again.
I bought Turkey sandwich on a roll. It only had Turkey, lettuce, and tomato. They charged me $16. On a ROLL. 16 dollars ! That’s insanely overcharged. I will never come back.
Surprisingly excellent food! Great chicken soup with matzo ball, rare roast beef, hot pastrami, chicken, chopped liver, Cole slaw, knishes, etc we loved it and will be back again! Yum!
Pastrami sandwiches very little meat ask waitress she said its less than 1/3 of meat for a 16.00 sandwich thats rediculas, McDonald's gives you 1/4 pounder for 5.00 bucks. Never go back.
Was dying brisket & fries but the brisket lacked flavor and the fries were thrown in a container. Everything felt like it wasn’t done with love : paid $23 for sadness.
Hot pastrami was horrible. All you taste is garlic. Something is not right..maybe they're using the boars head cold cut one. Worth driving further up central to the other one. So much better..live and learn
Should have left when we walked in. Soda spilled at entryway, bad smell and very obvious ceiling leaks with black mold visible . Food was subpar and service almost non existent.
What happened to the kosher deli experience, huge piles of Cole slaw and pickles! That delicious aroma?, pastrami on rye piled up past the height of your Stewarts root beer bottle! I got nothing like this here instead I got a micro amount of Cole slaw and pickles and a tiny pastrami sandwich on rye. my wife ordered a Falafel Balls and vegetables mixed with Tajini with Pita Bread, the vegetables color looked suspect, enough not to eat and the pita bread was hard as a rock unable to eat, the waiter was nice to offer us something else but we declined. For a place thats been there since 1955 its a shame that these staple items aren't flawless. This is one kosher deli I have absolutely no reason to return to
Horrible, never going back. Went downhill from where it used to be. Pastrami was so tough I could hardly chew it. Square knish very dry, cold, latke was dry and obviously made days ago.
I have been going to Epstein I was a child. A cultural and historical Westchester hot spot with all the original Jewish deli food. Best spot outside NYC
