As usual,  Erick's has excellent food and service.  This time however, there were three children running around, screaming and carrying-on. Wasn't interested in eating out with a bunch of kids.  Sorry but they ruined my dinner.  

Excellent food, very substantial meal, great service.  Out to dinner again.  I edited my review and gave them 5 stars.  What excellent food and service.

Why do restaurant owners do this?  I stopped in around 2 PM.  The place only had three tables occupied after the lunch rush. The food was very good as always, a little expensive but very good. 

HOWEVER, the waitress could not be bothered to come out of the kitchen and actually do her job.  Long wait to have her take my order. She never brought the check to the table -- I had to go to the counter.

The lunch rush is over, it will be a few hours until the dinner crowd starts; a perfect time for the owner/manager to take a few hours off.  The problem is they leave no one in charge who actually gives a flip. No one there to crack the whip and the employees view customers as an annoyance who are cutting into their relaxation.

Don't owners know that this is what loses customers?

You won't find better than this in Navasota.  Service is always friendly and fast.  I absolutely love their green salsa. My food has always been correct, large portion, and delicious.

Have always loved Erick's. Great food, service and margaritas.

Food was sub-par, ordered medium rare ribeye steak and shrimp, steak turned out to be a 1/4" thick flank steak that was well done and shrimp was way over cooked as well! Service was mediocre at best, we did come in about 20 minutes before close but will definitely not be making a return trip!
