I had the opportunity  to visit this salon today. After seeing a lovely style in a Walmart employee hair, she told me about Essence Hair Braiding in East Orange. Taken aback by the neatness of the style, I went there to try out this raving spot for myself. Glad I did! Sandra, you have done a thorough and unique job on my hair...lemonade braids! 

Fatima, she’s the owner, and her personality is very welcoming. Thank you for directing me to one of your finest stylist, Sandra. 

Upon leaving, I told both ladies, I’ll be back. It is my new braiding salon, and I’ll wait for Sandra even if it takes all day. Again, thank you ladies.

This was my first time trying this salon and I'm glad I did. Zara did a basic sew in for me. She did not braid my hair too tight and she was careful not to. I didn't even have to ask her. She was polite to me and once she started working she didn't stop for any phone or food breaks. My hair is neat, I am very very satisfied and will definitely return! The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because the ladies talked a lot and I felt like less talking could have sped up my service. There was also some confusion about the pricing, but they took care of me and I appreciate that!

The atmosphere of the salon is very warm and friendly. The stylists are there to help you with hair style selections that will not only suit you but are also non-damaging to your hair. They provide a wide range of hairstyles and have an array of stylists who are willing and ready to help complete your hair style needs. The prices are reasonable and the location is right on the main stretch making it a hard miss spot.

I absolutely LOVE this place, there like my second family, I been going here for years haven’t been any where else. There work is amazing, neat, most importantly prices are good and it last. I recommend them to anyone😘😍

I went in with a picture that I wanted and Oumou hooked me up even better than the picture. Good service, very professional. If you're also into clean work environments, then you'll appreciate Essence in East Orange. The manager consistently swept the hair off the floor throughout the 4 hours I was there. This is definitely my new braiding spot!
