Love Essex! We had a large party (16) for bottomless brunch and it was a great experience. Food was great and the service was excellent. Our server was Mo and he was wonderful - he took care of all 16 of us and was very friendly and professional. We will be coming back!

Went for dinner on a busy Saturday night. My reservation got screwed up and I called them last minute to change it. They were soooo accommodating. We had a party of 6. I had the steak, prepared perfectly. My wife had blackened catfish. Good taste but could gave stood a bit more spice. We like it “hot”. Great deserts and espresso. Overall, a great dinner. Very reasonably priced.

this is a pretty good brunch spot, there’s definitely some good looking stuff on the menu. the burger is huge, juicy, and dripping with cheese. no complaints there. the oysters were a little bland, not fresh. and they told me the wrong location for them. not a big deal. my drink was terrible. a penicillin should not be watery with have pieces of peeled ginger in it. i could barely taste the scotch or the ginger, it was just flavored water and ice.

We ordered a dozen oysters, lamb chops, and the mussels to share. Everything came out quickly and the food was great as well as their happy hour specials for sangria. Service was amazing as well and the vibe was great, had good music and tv's at the bar. Seated introduced me to this place and I had a great experience and will visit again more often.

I went for bottomless brunch on the day before New Years, and their prix fixe on the Friday before. I found the food at dinner to be excellent. I had tuna for the appetizer and rare strip steak for the main - both were delicious. The only criticism was the lack of horseradish dressing or similar for the fish. The menu also included limitless drinks over quite an impressive menu. The wait staff this Friday were a bit behind the ball though, we had to flag them down regularly for simple things like cutlery etc. In my opinion, the brunch was better than the breakfast, as the price point was more reasonable, and it's the only place that I've had a great southern breakfast in NYC. The waitstaff were far more attentive, I could barely finish a drink before another one turned up. Again, this was a bottomless brunch situation, and the staff were across the busy room without a hassle. Will definitely be back for brunch. The place is loud and very NYC. Expect to wait at least 15 minutes, even with a booking.
