Came here for the first time with my kids who have never been to the playground. The only word that they used to describe the playground is AWESOME! My kids are older so they love the challenge of climbing high up on things and this playground definitely has that! The walking trails around the lake are nice and the grounds are very well kept. Definitely will be coming back for more fun.
Great park! The playground is awesome! Things for toddlers on up to teens. There were walking paths and a frisbee golf game. 2 dog park areas, one for small dogs and 1 separated for big dogs. There is a big auditorium stage maybe they use it for summer programs or something? But you can get up and play, run, dance on the stage. There is a large hill to run or roll down. Many kids running and playing in the open fields. There were also volleyball courts and different covered areas to have picnics or BBQ's. We've done family photos here a couple times, there are many great places with scenic views. Place is kind of hidden away behind a shopping center. I would highly suggest!
Great park for bigger kids. My kids are 11 and 13 and this park has stuff they can climb and play on, unlike most other parks geared towards tiny kids. Also pretty cool dog park. I plan to bring my labrador!
Five minutes off I 75 very clean well-kept lots of amenities you have a recreation center, dog park also a playground, grills and volleyball … fun fact although the property was bought in 1998 the park was not open till October 30 of 2006 which was a good thing since it housed more than 500 people due to flood waters from Tropical Storm Fay.
Very nice park.. Our son has soccer practice here on the track/fields. Children's play area is kept clean and well maintained. People can play volleyball into the evenings with lighting available. The indoor recreation center area has karate classes. It's a well designed and maintained facility proudly kept by staff and community members alike.
Love this park, lots to do. Not great for the very young, took my 15 month old and found there wasn't much for him to do. But I've been coming to this park for a decade. The dog park is great and the rec facilities are some of the best around
Good time at the dog park. Lots of shade! Was in good shape considering it had been closed from the hurricane. Nice and dry-could be sandy/ mud in spots if rainy, but this time of Year is dry so seems ok. Enjoyed!!!!
We have had our woman's groups Christmas party there. We had 34 ladies along with gifts and food and we had plenty of room. We had the covered shelter by the play ground and bathrooms. It was awesome.
I am an avid disc golf fan with mediocre talent. I love going to new cities and playing the local disc golf courses. I played Estero twice when I was vacationing in Fort Myers back in June. In my opinion, the places we travel are just one part of the equation. The people we meet can dramatically alter our perception of things. This being said, I visited the park for a round of disc golf and I met a gentleman whom I believe helped with the grounds keeping or maintenance at the park. He asked if he could jump in with us and me being an average player welcomed the prospect of someone new to help out. We came to a water hole and I chucked my disc in the water, shocking, and he assured me that he could get it back when he dredged the pond. I didn't thinking much of it and just assumed the disc was gone. It is now January and I received a text that a showed my disc with the caption "found this at Estero". The gentleman that retrieved it, Jason Smith is a club member and honestly he could have kept the disc and I would have never known. I cannot say enough how much it means that he contacted me after 5 months. On top of that, he mailed it from Florida to South Carolina. Kudos, Jason, for every bad experience I have, there are people like you that provide of beacon of light when we need it the most. Hopefully everyone reading this will support Estero Community Park, especially after the hurricane Ian decimated most of southern Florida. Thanks again to Jason and the great people at Estero, your community is in my prayers.
The park and it's playground is very nice. My 3 year old wanted to stay forever!! The park provides a playground for different age: 2 to 5 but also 5 to 12. There are beach volley fields and some shaded areas to picknick.
