YES! This has authentic and fantastic mostly Basque Spanish tapas. For tapas, the menu is well priced. The dishes are fantastic and come out quickly. It's never too loud, even when it's crowded. Service is always attentive and helpful. Would recommend for a date, group, or dinner with the family. Also, the pitchers of sangria are great! Vegetarian options: Large vegetarian and vegan section!! Very tasty!
So glad I discovered this place! Delicious tapas, great drinks, excellent service, and a lovely atmosphere. The authenticity of this restaurant is so nice. I highly recommend trying it! The shishito peppers, patatas bravas, braised beef flatbread, and garlic shrimp are delicious. We also had a special lamb empanada which was baked freshly and absolutely to die for! Will certainly be back!!
A solid choice for dinner and/or drinks. Comfortable table seating and bar. I can't speak to any of the animal based dishes, but the vegetarian options have been great! Service has always been good as well.Food: 5/5
Another amazing Google maps find. Plenty of street parking without having to pay after 18:00 during the week. My wife is a vegetarian and really enjoyed her selections. I enjoyed my meat-based tapas. We also had delicious adult beverages. The service was great and our server Brian has been with Estragon Tapas from day #1, 13 years ago. We will definitely be returning and hopefully sooner than later. Plus nice outdoor seating.
lobster scallop empanada was the only dish my partner and I felt was worth finishing ordered 4 tapas in total. Good place to grab a drink b/c of service and funky decor, but not good place for an actual dinner. But re: drinks, mocktail old fashioned is more expensive than their alcoholic version for some reason. Weeks later, I honestly still find myself thinking about this randomly b/c it makes no sense to me. TLDR: wish we got Subway instead #eatfresh
Pros: nice atmosphere, wonderful wine. Service was great. Cons: the food just isn’t impressive. Very under-seasoned, and also not taking on true Spanish flavors for example, Albondigas aka meatballs literally just came out in a bowl of meat juice, not the traditional red wine sauce There are better tapas in Boston for sure
This place is quickly becoming our new favorite … food is terrific, vibe is very funky and neighborhoody, staff is tremendously friendly. We had several “wowwww” moments with first bites from various dishes. Dietary restrictions: Menu makes it very clear what is veggie, gluten-free etc. lots of options.
We had a birthday celebration on Saturday night with 10 guests. From the moment we entered the restaurant we were welcomed and immediately felt a great vibe. We were early and sat at bar until other guests arrived. The bartender Sahilsp? was an incredible mixologist. He made this yummy gin concoction with saffron syrup and citrus and other mysterious additions. He also provided a list of suggested tapas to order taking note of food allergies. I was most impressed by his attention and servíce. The tapas were amazing: the garlic shrimp, fried artichokes, Brussels sprouts. Shishito peppers were all wonderful. I strongly recommend supporting this restaurant. It has all the ingredients for a perfect night out!
Pretty chill, quiet place even on a weekend, but good food and drinks! My favorite was the arugula baked goat cheese salad. I would have liked if the Patatas bravas had the crema in addition to the spicy sauce. Sangria pitcher was fun too! Server was friendly, it was a little buggy sitting outside though by the plants which were a kind of overgrown.
Great tapas place in the heart of the south end! We came here for a socially distant dinner, and were treated quite well. The octopus, flan, chicken empanadas, and lamb sliders in particular were highlights. Drinks were tasty as well and made for the summer. Apart from service being a tad sluggish, this was definitely a good experience and would definitely visit again.
