I ordered takeout. The chicken fajita was more like a soup because it came with lots of liquid. Not a fan of the flavor of the chicken, it kinda had a slight taste of detergent. The tomatoes on the fajita looked as if they were chopped by hand without using a knife. The rice and beans were OK. The red sauce is more spicy than the green one.
Food was decent, i’ve had better Mexican for less money. Main problem was they tried to charge for chips & salsa without telling us, I would’ve paid if I knew but it felt like a trick. I mentioned it and they too it off the bill but just be aware.
Wanted to try this place for awhile but should of trusted my gut. The decor and atmosphere was nice and def held true the Mexican roots. However that was the only pro about the place. The service was ok if not a little slow. The food was nothing to right your mama over and basic as Mexican cuisines go. What got this place a 2 star instead of a 4 was the overly sweet horchata which costs $12 a glass for a large which is not posted anywhere on the menu. It's quite the jump from the small size that's only $4 mind you. Was it bit shocked when the bill came. Won't be returning.
The food was AMAZING. Best Mexican food in New Rochelle.. People who know Mexican food know what I’m talking about …. Giving this place a 100/10.. Everything was seasoned perfectly and it was more than enough food.
As someone who recently moved here from California finding decent mexican food around here has been tough to say the least. I’ve been here a few times and have tried a couple of the things they offer. Their alcoholic beverages are AMAZING! Tacos are okayi’ve had better, I tried the chicharrón Gordita it was delicious just a bit small. The Rajas tamales are super goodif you like spicy I had to order three . The Tortas de milanesas are good my friends love those. I have tried their flan and tres leches cake super good if you has a sweet tooth. Overall, I think this place has a lot of potential and the food is good best Mexican restaurant I’ve tried so far in this area.
Trash. Ordered pick up order online, arrived 30 minutes after original pick up time and they hadn’t even began making my order. Claimed they just received order while I watched the woman confirm order. Meaning they don’t check their online orders coming in but my card was charged immediately. It’s been an hour since I ordered. Staffs rude and unwilling to take responsibility for their mistake. Not worth $30 for a quesadilla and churros.
Have been here a few times now, the food, drinks and service are always amazing. Beautiful decor and clean bathrooms. They're able to accommodate large groups as well, great for special occassions.
We ordered for the first time from this restaurant we also got nachos but it didn’t make it to the picture lol I have to say by far the best Mexican food I’ve had I. New Rochelle fresh tasty just all around amazing
I'd like to start by saying this. I've eaten in 3 other Estrellita Poblana locations for the past 5yrs I'm and this was by far the worst. We ordered some tacos typical I know. Barbacoa, chicken tinga, with everything. And what came out were paltry filled and not what we ordered. We specifically asked for everything on them tomato, lettuce etc yet there was only onion and cilantro. Which fine, we can put that aside yet in addition to the missing accoutrements, the meat was underseasoned, sparse, mostly sauteed onions and peppers as well as filled with a runny sauce. Wouldn't recommend Also pictured is a Pozole Sopa, which was fairly good, as well as a Oaxaca Tamale, which was not fairly good. Overall, if possible try some of the other Estrellita locations, as they make it worth the effort. The location in Arthur Ave in the Bronx has been Michelin Rated btw
