Eufaula schools have went down hill since 2006. The high school is basically a joke. All they want is money. They nickel and dime you to death. The teachers,not all but most,never give home work or hands on for the most part. Ever since the invention of these "chrome books" learning has took a back seat to self teaching. The act scores have declined to the point they cant get you into ymca..joke? Eufaula was ranked around 78th in all Alabamas schools..now around 270th..if thats not a decline what is? The bad thing about it is our kids are suffering..

Are you serious....? And, you are a principal??? Thank you for staying in Alabama.  Washington state  would not welcome you...not with this selfish attitude.   SHAME ON YOU for not complimenting Brice for taking his grandmother to the prom.  What a compliment he paid her and showed her love and appreciation. 
   How can you seriously consider yourself an example of a gentleman?  I would say your family is embarrassed by this horrible decision.

SHAME ON YOU.....now he is staying home, too.

The fact the principal could not make a simple request happen is ridiculous.  It's not like the kid is bringing his 25 or 35 year old date or asking to bring an escort.  He is a kid whose parents taxes and his too go to ensure the county has money to hire closed minded people like this principal and the "school board."  If you spent half as much time making future leaders instead of building your own ego, every problem wouldn't seem like a nail.

This young man wants to honor his mother by taking her to his prom.  She has supported him thru his education and should be allowed to celebrate with him.  Please rethink what you are doing

Freedom of thought? Wonderfuly sincere intentions? Even the consideration to ask first... you trounced this young man's good intentions and wonderful/admirable family values. Even age discrimination...and you respond with slanderous accusations? Inferring character problems with his family and their good judgement and intentions.
I'm sure this wasn't her initiated thought.
The school district needs to interceed x and resolve this issue properly. 
Or:
Everyone his fellow students should back him up and have "their own prom elsewhere.
Fix this our get rid of the problem.
I live in another state...I heard the story on TV. This will come back on the district, the town, and the school management.
