It is conveniently located on Ventura Blvd in Encino. Very clean. Fast and friendly service. Everything was fresh and high-quality. The variety of their menu would please patrons familiar with Eastern European and Central Asian cousins dishes and those who have never tried anything like that before. Everyone in our party of four enjoyed the experience and food there. We will visit again.
Food was good but there were a couple things I wasn't pleased with. First off the food was not delivered at the same time, it was more than 10 minutes after the first entrée was brought out before the second one was. Wanting to eat the meal together meant the first plate was luke warm. They did have a large private party that night so perhaps that was part of the problem. And I do not like restaurants that add 18% service fee to the bill and still give you a tab where they suggest tip amount. This puts you in a bad spot, not knowing if this service fee goes to the server and if it doesn't you now short the server a tip. If the restaurant needs to charge more than charge more, don't put your customers in this position.
The food here is so bomb. It’s so good that I can never get a photo of the all of the food, family can’t wait to dig in soon as we receive. The food. Everything is good.Food: 5/5
A Meal of Consolation for family and friends after a funeral I officiated for them at Mt Sinai Hollywood Hills. Food, service, and atmosphere all first rate... perfect for this event at 3pm.Food: 5/5
I've been to Central Asia, and from the moment you sit down at this restaurant the way the waitstaff passive-aggressively ignores you is exactly how I remember it. . Not only this, but the absence of key representative items listed on the menu cannot be understated. Samsa? Niet. Laghman? Niet. Shashlyk? Niet. Kompot? Niet. Kvas? Niet. Ayran? Niet. "Tell me what you DO have, then?" is how I recommend you order. These attributes combined, I can without hesitation say that this restaurant is absolutely authentic - and this is what you are looking for. FYI the item shortage is apparently attributed to the fact that Tuesdays/Wednesdays are the first days back from their weekly Monday holiday. Therefore if there are many customers, the solo chef cannot prepare these items before dinner time. However I was assured that from Thursday onward, most of the menu would be available. The food itself is outstanding. The flavors are precisely how they taste back in the old country. Albeit not Central Asian cuisine, the beef stroganoff is a highly recommended item. Come to EuroAsia for a nostalgic visit of what amazing tasting food with ambiguously demeanored staff is truly like
First time here. I got Borsh and Pork Kabob. Borsh portion was pretty small and I got small chunk of beef but the taste was perfect. It comes with a sauce and hot bread. Pork kebab was amazing too - huge chunks of meat and super tender. Comes with 3 small potatos and garden salad. Everything was on point. Lady manager was friendly and attentive. Price is fair for what you get. Highly recommended
We came to celebrate a birthday party. They have a huge patio at the front and an inside hall. There is a full bar inside. Lots of parking the plaza, and many other stores around like nails and hair salons. We had about 20 people in our party and had 2 servers dedicated to us. When we arrived the table was already full with appetizers assortment, traditional Russian appetizers, fresh salads, smoked fish, pickled vegetables, eggplant rolls with nuts my favorite, fresh baked bread with cream cheese and crepes with red caviar. Before the main course they served a whole fish stuffed with crab meat and cheese and also a plate of a chicken crepe. For main course there was mixed meat platter with chicken, ground beef, and roasted potatoes. Service was great, there was always someone when we needed. At the end they serve coffee and tea.
Food is good enough. Size of portion is ok. Waiter was pretty knowledgeable, but there was something confusing during this visit. After me and my mom, who was visiting LA at that time, already sitted and made an order, stuff started to prepare some banquet at the same room and it was very noisy! They behaved like there were no customers at the cafe at the moment. A women I think she is an administrator there and few other waiters loudly moved the chairs around us, put plates and cutlery on the tables and talked to each other like there was nobody in the room except them. My baby started crying because of this noice and I have to ask them to make a pause and continue preparing this banquet in 5 minutes, cause we are already leaving. This lady said ok ok, but continue preparing the banquet. It was weird for me as a customer. I prefer to be in another atmosphere while having my lunch. This cafe have outdoor seats, but nobody proposed us to change a place. I already finished my dish and my mom was still waiting of her order. 50 minutes of expectation of her chicken was tooooo long. It seemed to us that chef just started catching the chicken after we made an order... I asked a waiter where is our order, he said that it takes 30 minutes to cook this dish but we were waiting for around 50... For those who have just 1 hour for lunch it is inadmissible luxury to spend 50 minutes just waiting... Bill was above the average. But the taste of dish and the size of portion was really good. If there would be a next visit - I would order in advance and take it away with me.
Celebrate 95 birthday our friend for 60 years. Everything was great.Food: 5/5
Food was average taste, not bad or good, but was way overpriced. Asked for Borscht with beef and it only had one small piece of beef and they charged $10. Ordered the manti and paid $20 for it and it was just 5 small pieces. If you want good manti for cheap find a local Afghan place and get double the portion for 5-10$. For good borscht there are nearby Ukranian places on ventura blvd with way better quality and portion for the same price. Owners obviously care only about profit.
