Rip off! These stations require a $2 per hour charge while connected or you have to be a member of a service that requires a 12-month contract for $5.95 per month and then you get to pay $1 per hour. If I calculate this out using my Chevrolet Volt, $2 per hour would equal $6 per 38 miles or roughly $6 per gallon equivalent of gasoline. Even if I am a member for 6 bucks a month and still paying a dollar per hour it is still way more expensive than gasoline. The same style charging station by the same company is 100% free charging at the Hampton Inn in Rutland. So why do they have to rip you off here? The location is great and the number of stations very convenient, there are six of them. But still, this is not worth the money. I think they have missed the entire point of electric cars. This charge station should be free. If it's not free totally then it should be free once you have a membership for $6 per month. But even as a non-member $1 per hour is a bit much. Maybe they should charge by kilowatt? My Chevrolet Volt only produces 3.3 kilowatts per hour no matter what I'm connected to because the charger is built on board to the vehicle. This might make sense if you drive a leaf or a Tesla, but certainly not if you are driving an L2 level 2 vehicle.
