Melissa is rely awesome i have been searching for good hairstylist for many years she is very loyal she carefully listens to her clients has lot of patience. Before coming to evoultion salon i have been to another salon (that is too expensive in pasadena but its worthless even the stylist was in hurry not friendly where they didnt listen to me they just rush to cut my hair & end up uneven hair) . Evolution salon both receptionist and stylist r good, salon was clean and neat very relaxing i just showed her some video she had lot of patience to watch the entire video and  started cutting my hair with so much care & concentration .finally i got the best outcome  HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR EVERYONE.I COULD GIVE 10 STAR BEST SALON thank u soooo much u made me feel comfortable.

Originally I was going to write a simple complimentary review when I first went to Evolutions, but I am glad I waited because in the coming weeks, I realized just how amazing this haircut is.

When I want to get a haircut, I want to get it done right away. It's really difficult to find good walk-in salons, let alone a Pasadena salon open on Monday. Fortunately for me, Denise was available to cut my hair at the time I needed. 

For non-locals, Green Street is one way only but there is plenty of 1-hour parking spots in front of Evolutions. This is helpful because if your haircut does extend over the limit, you can do a quick fix. 

The front desk administrator was friendly and Denise was sitting next to her when I came in. She was immediately welcoming and walked me to the back. I explained to her what I wanted (a neat bob) and showed her photos. I also asked for her opinion on what matched my face shape better and she was tactfully honest, which I really appreciated. 

A hair wash comes with the cut and Denise applied enough pressure to make it feel clean and enjoyable. When she was cutting my hair, we briefly chatted from time to time but overall, it was an easy silence between us. I liked how focus she was and unafraid to say, "Sorry, hang on," while she was cutting. Most stylists think too highly of their skills and my haircuts end up uneven. At the end, Denise asked me how I usually styled my hair and proceeded with my request, adding some styling products. My hair didn't feel greasy like other salons make it, so I went out to enjoy my night with friends instead of washing my hair again at home.

Long review short, what's amazing about Denise's cut is that I don't have to wet the bottom of my hair completely to blow-dry it into submission. With short haircuts, I always have to shower in the morning so I can go out looking decent. Denise layered my hair artfully that I can shower in the middle of the day, go to bed, and wake up in the morning without my hair flipping out in weird directions. It simplifies my morning routine and leaves me room to work out in the middle of the day. 

Thank you, Evolutions salon, for your flexible hours, and thank you, Denise, for the great cut! I look forward to coming back for other cuts and or trims.

I went to Rima there and she colored my hair and did a brazilian blowout. She is great, she really got what I wanted and the brazilian was cheap ( unlike other places where they RIP you off) and it was flawless work! REALLY satisfied!

Hard to find good hair cuts here, but this one was the best I've been so far.
They suggested a new hairstyle and it works ! Now that's what I call evolution.
