Extended Stay America Hotel Chicago - Buffalo Grove - Deerfield

This is a basic extended stay hotel, decent sized rooms with a refrigerator, microwave, sink, and counter top in the kitchen area, love seat or recliner and a small desk near the bed. No fancy amenities, but they are truly pet friendly. I gave them five stars because of the kindness and understanding of the staff and manager. There is a specialty vet hospital next door where our very sick dog was for 5 days, and they allowed us to pay on a day by day basis, gave us a late check-out on the last day while we waited on one last blood test, and even a blanket for our sweet puppy to lay on when she finally got to come home ! ! ❤️

Clean, no bugs, reasonably smell free, quite friendly staff. Very small rooms. The closets are just indentations in the wall with a curtain over it. Hardly any clothes fit in the dresser. You have to request basic amenities like a plate and silverware. Extremely hard beds; I've had to line it with pillows to sleep and not wake up in extreme pain. The breakfast is poor. "Grab and Go" had no fruit as advertised, but also has been missing the high calorie muffins and granola the last few days... so basically no breakfast. It did it's job while I was moving to the area, but I will be glad to be gone.

Pretty gross and scary. Toilet had an actual mildew ring and was microscopically small. I had to disassemble bed to get my cats on checkout. It's the old fashioned type of bed. Somebody kept trying to come into my room all night. It wasn't great at all. Single women should avoid, I felt unsafe and found the front desk minimized my safety concerns.

Rooms were really comfortable and had good amount of space along with a decent kitchen to boot. The only thing was the staff which was times were rude. The location of the hotel was pretty decent too had a couple of restaurants nearby and was close to where I was working. Overall, it was a pretty good experience

It's not a grand entrance but its secluded from traffic that's next to the building. People are very kind there and very clean and peaceful!
