Super helpful. Super knowledgeable. Super cheap. I have used this gas station for a late night air tire check, replacing headlights (they usually have to order a part but get it quickly). Friendly, willing to say when I should go to the dealer and when they can help me. Love this place.

After some frustrations with finding a good auto shop in DC, I went to the Spring Valley Exxon to have a diagnostics test run as my "service engine soon" light had come on. I was initially told it would cost $89 to run the test. I thought this was ridiculous, because they just hook the car up to a computer which tells them the emissions issue...and takes roughly 3 minutes. But I went to the Goodyear in Bethesda and their price was over $120 to simply hook it up to the computer. So I went to the Spring Valley at 7am right when it opened, and a friendly mechanic ran the test. He told me it was a small evap leak (leak in the evaporation system) which was most likely caused by a loose gas cap or because the gas cap is old and not properly containing the emissions. He was very honest and told me to return if the light came back on. He did not charge me for this and didn't even mentioned the fact that he didn't charge me. This was very quick and efficient, and I will feel comfortable bringing my car back if the light comes back on in the event that this issue is a larger problem.
