I will never shop at the store again.  Management encourages their employees to lie!!!  I stopped to fill my car with gas today.  I walked into the store and explained I would like to fill up the car but wasn't sure the amount required.  I offered to provide my NC Drivers License for the cashier to hold until I filled my car and returned to pay.  The cashier responded that "It's against the law to pump gas without paying for it in NC".  I questioned her response and explained I was not aware of any such law in NC.  I paid for $20 worth of gas and proceeded to pump the gas in my car during which time I called several family friends to confirm if such a law existed in NC.  I confirmed with a W-S police officer, deputy sheriff, attorney  and NC highway patrolman - there is NO such statue in the state of NC.  I returned to the store and recommended the cashier may want to update her response to reflect it is "store or corporate policy" that the gas be paid for prior to pumping.  She and a gentleman that appeared to be the store manager denied that they were lying.  I understand if you choose to implement such a policy but don't misinform the public and certainly don't lie.

It's a normal gas station. The ppl who work there aren't rude, but there not super nice either.
