Went in to look at some flooring samples. Staff was rather laid-back (no one greeted me on the floor until I passed the office -- but this may be due to me popping in right after they opened; I think I was the only customer there) but they were friendly and sociable. I asked Joe, the gentleman who was helping me for a particular set of Shaw flooring samples and he took me right there. When the display didn't have the series I was looking for, he took me over to another brand, which is apparently a sub-brand of Shaw. He helped me cross-reference the ones I was looking for and we found the right samples. When I started taking pictures and explaining that my fiancee and I needed to make a choice today (builder needs to order materials ASAP), he popped the panels right off their rack (these were large samples, two 12x24 samples per panel) and offered to let me bring them home. He took me into the office to sign a check-out sheet, so this is apparently something they do rather regularly. While he was filling out the form, the rest of the office staff chatted me up in a rather enjoyable conversation. Once the rest of the form was filled out and he got my name, address, and phone number on it, he bound the two samples together in shrink tape (non-adhesive) so they'd be easier to transport and I was on my way. While walking the floor, they definitely had a large selection, and if they conduct the rest of their business the way they met my needs today, they are definitely the place to go. I'm not even sure my builder will be buying from them (though he mentioned them as a place to check out samples) but after my experience today I hope he will! My only complaint is that their showroom lighting could be better for viewing samples in place, but assuming they do make a habit of lending samples this is a completely moot point, as you will be able to view the samples in your home where the flooring will actually be installed -- the best way to do it! UPDATE: I returned the samples today; Joe and the other guy in the office remembered my name on sight, and Joe was happy to discuss some other flooring plans with us, as well as some wall tile options for our bathroom. He was very knowledgeable, and offered some solutions we hadn't previously thought of, such as *making* an area rug for a room by binding the edges of regular carpet, so we can have carpet in the bedroom without ruining the hardwood by putting down tack strips. My rating of these guys stands firmly at five stars, and I would recommend them to anyone whose remodeling work includes flooring or tiling. UPDATE 2: Some time later, we ended up buying a custom area rug from them. They were quick and professional, told us how to measure for it, we gave them the measurements, and they cut and bound to our specifications. Well remember the adage, "measure twice, cut once"? Apparently twice wasn't enough, and the carpet was about 2 inches too wide (we wanted it to cover the whole width of the room, it ended up curling up the wall a bit). Gave them a call, they asked us to bring it back and provide revised measurements. Brought it in, they cut it in about an hour while I went to grab a bite, and I had my carpet back the same day -- and they did it for free, which they were under no obligation to do since it was my measurement error. Fit perfectly, looks great... love it!

I worked with Sheri and she was great. The price was very reasonable and less then Home Depot. I would highly recommend Carpet Factory Outlet for any flooring job.

I had an appointment with this company on Thursday at 1:00, by 1:40 no one was had come to my home when I called the company and spoke with the unprofessional that was supposed to be at my home he said " I was just going to call you, I have been sick since 12:00". I told him I left a previous appointment early to make sure I was here before 1:00, He said I can be there tomorrow depending how I feel. I said as long as someone calls to let me know if you will not be showing up. "He called me a jerk, and asked me if I would like him to come to my home and poop on my floor?" I was appalled and will not associate with unprofessional like this. I only am thankful that they didn't have any money of mine because if he treated me like this and I was a potential customer can you imagine if they came to do the work, did a lousy job and I made a complaint... there goes my money and here begins a law suit. I am so glad I saw how this company conducted business before I was a victim with there unprofessional, uneducated and lack of quality in there service and product. Please consider yourself warned.
