The resort is more than 100 years old and full of great nostalgia. The dining experience was especially fun, since they ring a bell when meals are ready. Unfortunately, our cabin was really, really small. It was chilly last weekend...and one of our windows was being held shut by packaging tape. The tape didn't hold so the window was open all night. The cabin was $140/night and I was left feeling we overpaid for the experience.

Beautiful property. One of the best places you could bring a family and go off the grid and have things to do. Check in was the biggest frustration. We were told when we booked we would have cabin 44, but when we checked in we received a room that was joined with 5 others. No keys to lock doors from the outside. Service was subpar when we checked in, but was great the rest of the way. Wilderness golf course service was excellent! Nice course, too! I would come again when kids get a little older. Talked to many people that come every year.

We took the large party boat and had food and drinks catered. Food was delicious and everyone had a great time. We stopped at a sandbar where everyone got out and was able to enjoy the water for a while.

Room are well kept. Great activities for the kids. Food is acceptable. Bring your own liquor and beer.

I visited on a weekday before their season had officially started, so there were still a few chores to be done such as cleaning and repairs here and there, the golf course needed mowing, and some painting was needed. The location was nice as it is right on the lake. There is a pool area, which includes a hot tub, medium sized pool and kiddie pool. It looked as if sailing and taking a cruise on the lake were options for guests. There are tennis courts, but I did not see them myself. Based on my observations, the exterior of the buildings and cabins could use some updates to make the place look more appealing. I cannot judge the actual services or experience.
