If there were a 0 star option you would have it. One way to make money is to take people's money and not give it back from setting up automated payment systems for an account then when the account is inactive keep taking the money then tell me you cannot and will not give it back? I guess the rich does stay rich huh? Seems as though if an account is no longer active it's just that ....non active, guess not lol.

So Fairfield electric estimated the power usage from day light savings time Incorrectly without giving any notice to the customer, causing an unexpected spike in fees to prepaid daily customers and their excuse was "computers arent perfect and neither are people" then I ask can I make an arrangement on the payment until Friday and they say we don't make arrangements with prepaid customers.... BUT IT'S YOUR FAULT!!!!!! Smfh

I am most disappointed with Fairfield Electric and am looking forward to being restored with SCE&G. I recently informed them of the date of the last day I would need service. When my power went out prematurely, the customer service manager I spoke with said I should've been happy they didn't cut my power off at 8:30am on my final day. Using that rule of thumb, I guess if it is someone's last day on the job at Fairfield, they get to show up for work at 8:30am and then leave at the same time and count it as a full last day. Two separate employees were quick to make the customer take the fall and greatly lacked compassion or a willingness to accept their part in the misunderstanding. If you use them, you will need to almost assume the responsibility of the employee's job by communicating in extensive detail precisely how long you will need as telling them the "last day you will need power" was insufficient in my experience.
