SENIOR PASTOR: Mike McDonald is the Senior Pastor at Faith Evangelical Free Church. He is a Flagstaff native, and came to know Christ at the age of five. He earned his BS in Elementary Education at NAU, and is graduated from Phoenix Seminary with a Masters in Biblical Leadership 2011. He and his wife Becky, who were married in 2003, spent the first three years of their marriage in Vienna, Austria as missionaries. They have four children: identical twins Trenton and Jason, Davis, and Kara. Mike’s favorite pastimes include: spending time with his family, being outdoors, camping, fishing, hiking, swimming, lifting weights and all things Arizona Cardinals. We are so blessed to have him.
WORSHIP SERVICE: 75 minutes. Contemporary yet blended music (mix of new songs along with a few modernized hymns). Drums, bass, acoustic guitar.
LEADERSHIP/PEOPLE: The congregation is generally warm, loving, and generous. It's intergenerational – good mix of young families and those 50+. The people have a heart for outreach, prayer, and studying Scripture. Elders are wise, faithful, and caring. YOUTH: Fun and Vibrant! Wonderful teaching (biblical and topical) and lots of great events: mission trips, conferences, retreats, outreach, and banquets. Focus placed on disciplining, encouragement, and accountability through small groups. CHILDREN: Dynamic children's church during the main service for kids (through 5th grade) with good God-centered curriculum. Vacation Bible School in summer, after-school program in fall. Family events sprinkled throughout.
ADULT: Vibrant and organized small group ministry. Women's weekly bible study and men's monthly breakfast. Active 50+ group. New college and career group. Lots of great areas to plug into and serve.
MISSIONS: Faith supports many incredible missionaries globally (both indigenous and American) through a variety of organizations. It also donates to many local agencies (such as Care Net, Crown Financial, and East Central Ministries).
