Great place. I switched there this year and was a major bonus. Pharmacist Tim so knowledgeable.  Helped me with insurance problems that my past pharmacy negated to even find. Also have great gifts among their wares. Nice family oriented place. Have a privacy room to discuss matters. Can't say enough of place.

New name!! Family Pharmacy Plus. Who can say they love their pharmacy? I definitely can. The Family Pharmacy Plus, formerly The Medicine Shop, provides the personal attention to each individual that has been forgotten by all the big chains. 
I only go for my annual flu shot and on a rare occasion, a prescription. Even though it may only be once a year, when I walk in the door everyone greets me by my first name. But it's not only for me. I've noticed the same thing with every customer. The Pharmacist and owner, Tim Gallegos RPh, never fails to take the time to explain in detail everything about the vaccine or the prescription. 
Did you know for instance, that this year's flu shot is not made with dead flu cells, therefore it's impossible to get sick from it. Also the brand of flu shot that they carry is the only one manufactured in the United States. 
Real focused personalized service is a rare thing to find in any business these days. The Family Pharmacy Plus achieves that with sincerity and passion.

Tim and Kathy are the best their services are top they are very helpful and courteous they go  out of their way to explain your medication to you

I am so very pleased with the service and how they go above and beyond to make certain that each individual receives special treatment.  I recently left Walgreens in Lockport and came here.  I should have done that years ago. Walgreens and their "good faith" unexplainable policies can stick it.  The Med Shoppe may not have all the bells and whistles but their attention and customer service is 200 times better.  I am adding an addendum to my original review.  It has been about six months since I wrote the above entry.  The only thing that has changed is my experience has gotten even better and now I know my pharmacy family by their first names.  Why everyone in Lockport does not drop Walgreens, Rite Aid, Walmart or Tops is beyond me.  You will not be disappointed I can guarantee that.  I wish all businesses could go back to the days of community based business - the Medicine Shoppe has got this down to a science.  Too often people will only write a bad review.  I know a lot of people feel the way I do - please comment.  BEST PHARMACY HANDS DOWN.  They also have great other little items that are hard to find, often on sale,  or at a much lower price than you can find at some big retail store.
