First and last time going here. Car broke down because of a mistake they eventually admitted to and then retracted? Was stranded on the 401 and had to get it towed back here. Plus after having to pull teeth to speak with a mechanic (and owner) about what they actually did, they were leaning on my bumper and we heard a loud crack. I looked around on the bumper and unphased the owner said it's nothing... like what? Anyways I go home and found out the licence plate cover broke. Not a huge deal but I can only imagine what other kinds of butchery the let by here. Not sure how they have such good reviews. Terrible experience

Bought some new tires a few weeks ago, and when I was on the highway, I noticed a slight imbalance and light pull to the left indicating a possible alignment issue which I didn't seem to have prior.  I was already bringing my car to the dealer the next day for my oil change and asked (and paid) for them to check my alignment, which they said was all in spec.  So I figured perhaps I had a bad tire.  I called Fanshawe Motors back and explained my situation and their priority was rectifying the problem.  It's hard for me to make it in during the week as I work the same hours they are open, but they offered to cover a ride for me so I could leave my car with them for the day.  In the end, they rebalanced the tires for me, and did a 4 wheel alignment after confirming the alignment was the culprit for the slight pull to the left.  It seems you usually hear the negative, so I wanted to be sure to mention the great service and care I received from this business.  Ironically, I received a service follow up call from the dealership and I made sure to voice my displeasure about paying for an alignment check only to have them tell me everything was fine (when it wasn't).

Took my car in for diagnostics, asked to speak with the mechanic who would be working on my car, and this was a problem for the lady service manager behind the counter; so I asked to speak with the manager, Adrian.  He understood, and had no issue speaking with me, really a great guy.  Anyways, diagnostics done, appointment booked for a couple days later, waiting for parts.  I'm from out of town and my kids come first, so when something came up; I called and said I couldn't make my appointment (my exact wording) and I didn't reschedule at that time; which was clearly my mistake because the service manager took that to mean I was cancelling, period.  
Busy shop, takes days just to be seen for diagnostics, and then days to get parts.  
Besides the service manager miscommunication issues, the prices I was quoted were good and the manager, Adrian was overly accommodating.  I ended up going elsewhere for the work this time.

Very nice people that do great work. I will be buying all my tires and doing all out of warranty service on my vehicles here.

I have been using Fanshawe Motors to service my 2 VWs for the last 6 years. The owner and staff are very friendly and very knowledgeable. Their shop time charges are less than dealerships and their new facilities are top notch. I would highly recommend their services to all German and domestic car owners.
