My Camry was due for an oil change and since moving to LA, my air filter was shot since there's so much more pollution here. My "check engine" light had also come on. My car alignment was also off. So yeah, had quite a few things to fix! He explained my options, gave me an estimate that was very reasonable. He was also really fast, even though he had to special order a part (oxy sensor). I dropped my car off Monday morning and it was ready Tuesday afternoon! He wasn't at all like a chain auto repair place that tries to add-on useless services. He's kind of like my old Vietnamese uncle, very sage and dispensing good advice. I hate, hate bringing my car in for anything, my dad always used to do it for me but now I'm on living on my own here and I have to say, Donny's a rare one, an honest mechanic. He knows his stuff. He doesn't take credit cards though, just a warning. It's a small shop and he warned me that he only goes by appointment because the shop only has a limited amount of space, so if you have an emergency, he might be able to fit you in depending on the work that needs to be done.
