The food was excellent. Better than excellent. The service was not. The waitress asked us to keep our dirty silverware when she cleared our courses because she said they didn't own enough to bring us clean silverware for the next course. When we asked for bread we were told they don't serve bread. But we had bread with one of our appetizers. She finally brought bread when we asked again. At this price point I have certain expectations. $21.00 per app and $ 47.00 per entree should afford them to purchase some silverware.

First time eating in this cozy 1880's house turned restaurant. Staff was extremely friendly and provided great service. Screened in outdoor seating filled up pretty quick and felt a bit claustrophobic during peak time. They do have "outdoor-outdoor" seating, as well as an upstairs dining area. Food was great, no complaints there. Will definitely go again and try more of the menu.

Me and the family checked this place out on Sunday for lunch. It's very easy to pass this place and not notice it's beauty because it's right off a busy road. I decided to stop and check it out first before bringing the family inside. Initial glance is not impressive but you will be pleasantly surprised by the beautiful setting and garden on the river. Eat outside on a picnic table or inside up to you. 

I got the rack of lamb and my wife tried to get the duck but they were sold out; she settled for the steak. The kids split a sandwich. 

I really wanted to give this place 5 stars but I ordered the lamb medium rare and it was cooked all the way through. My wife ordered medium and her's was well done. Other than that everything was unique n tasted good. Oh the asparagus could have been flavored better, I was the only one who ate it. 

We would come back again.

All I can say is wow this place is absolutely amazing... When the food hits your mouth its like tasting food for the first time. Prepare to leave your matrix existence.

I have been coming here for years, after driving by and missing it many times!!!!   Once you find it, you won't forget it!!!  Adorable, old cottage, on the Peconic River, with screened in, out door eating, small indoor eating and dinning below, right by the river. The lunch and dinner menus vary each day and are delicious!!  Service is great and friendly. We keep on coming!!!
