We went to Fascino for their 4 course dinner menu on Valentine's Day. We have seen the restaurant listed many times on other sites/reviews mentioning that this place is really great so we had to give it a shot. The burrata was outstanding and I would go back just to have this again. Next up, I had the cavatelli with Octopus which was tremendous. This is pretty much where I stopped being impressed. The sirloin steak left a lot to be desired and dessert is nothing to brag about. If you are looking for good burrata and pasta, this is your place. If you are craving a steak, you may want to go somewhere else. The fish was not bad though.

This is a destination for most couples and groups to celebrate those special occasions in life. If you have the disposable income, maybe it could become your Montclair fine dining go to. The food is amazing. The restaurant was started by star chef Ryan DePersio and his family and in the decade plus that it's been opened has received all of the pedigree reviews you'd expect: The NY Times, The Star-Ledger, Crain’s New York Business, and Restaurant Hospitality Magazine. Why is the food so good? It's because Ryan's cred's are impeccable: NY Restaurant School, Bouley Bakery, at Judson Grill, at Paris’ La Brasserie, Jean Georges' Vong and Jean Georges.

My wife and I were totally underwhelmed by Fascino, which we had been looking forward to trying for a long time. Food was fine, but hardly worth the price and certainly not in "Best Restaurant in NJ" territory. We have no plans to go back.

The best Resturant in Jersey city. The meats and cheese can't be beat and an amazing wine selection. I love Theo.
