I judge a Mexican restaurant by their chips and salsa and by their fajitas's. The salsa here is very good. The chips are OK, nothing special. The fajitas's are fair, at best. The service was good and quick. The prices were very affordable. The atmosphere was exactly what you'd expect in a run of the mill Mexican establishment.
Great food for the price.. only complaint is that it took a good while to get our food. Mine came before my dates.
Great tasting food but I'm partial to the owners Korean cuisine. I have to admit I love most food from that region even though I grew up on a country farm about 8 miles from where I'm retired now. Sushi, Japanese, Vietnamese, all of it delicious and what can I say Mexican food is a staple in the south now. Used to be peas and cornbread. If you get the chance to eat here don't pass it up. Food is most excellent.
This place could easily have five stars, but I'm going to list some pros and cons as to why I gave it three. Pros: The price of the food for the quality of food was extremely fair. The portion of food even for lunch menu was also very fair. The wait staff was friendly and looked family-owned which is always nice. It was very spacious and I did not feel like I was sitting on top of another family. Cons: My wife ordered a margarita and I ordered a Long Island iced tea, The price of both of those drinks was over $20. $20 is a lot for two drinks at lunch time. Both drinks were made by an inexperienced hand and tasted awful. Both glasses had visible dirt or something on them. This is a big con The restaurant smelled awful. We went from the front, to our table, to the bathroom and back to our table and you cannot escape the distinct smell of moldy roaches. It was not very busy in the store yet our food took a long time. We probably won't go back but I will admit it was nice to see a Korean menu hidden in the Mexican restaurant and the beef bulgogi was very good.
I don't want any to accuse anyone of anything, but the beans and rice looked and tasted like they were straight from a box/can. I know we're in Louisiana, but this has to be the least authentic Mexican food I've ever had. The atmosphere is nice and the servers are nice, but they really need to step their game up a little as far as the food is concerned. At least it wasn't expensive.
The food wasn't bad the only thing I was disappointed about was the menu wasn't very specific about what actually came with the lunch specials, not a real big deal but it would be nice to know if you were getting beef, cheese, or chicken enchiladas and which sides are available with each meal. I'm sure it was somewhere in the fine print but it is nice to have the server explain that while you're placing the order. But it was right out in no time and very tasty. I would like to go again and see if maybe it was just a busy day and maybe they were just rushed while taking the order. Good place though if you want Mexican food I recommend white queso cheese enchilada and they also have great tostada.
I’d rate no stars but then i couldn’t write a review. I mean look at this tostada con queso. Taco Bell has better options and flavor, this place makes it look authentic. The service was ehh. The prices are ridiculous for what they’re offering. You can’t claim authenticity when it’s not anywhere close. Shame.
Terrible! Surprisingly terrible! Just terrible! Taco bell is gourmet compared to this slop.
We had the loaded baked potatoes they were big they were well a lot of stuff on them one of the best baked potatoes I've ever had Wheelchair accessibility: I need more wheelchair access
Ordered Fajitas for 2, lots of food and the price was decent. Could have used a little more seasoning but was fairly decent.
