I first met Larry Feldt DDS, a few months ago after being discharged as a patient from White Cloud Family Health Care. In August 2015, Family Health Care chose to no longer provide dental services to me because I lost medical & dental insurance, due to no fault of my own, & I cancelled my appointment 1 hour prior to a scheduled appointment after I tried desperately to get insurance reinstated. I recently had most of my teeth extracted by an oral surgeon. Family Health Care would be responsible for follow up care including dentures, partials and other dental issues.

I was able to schedule an appointment with Dr. Feldt. During my first appointment he proceeded with the exam & told me that he wouldn't tolerate missed appointments as he was informed by my prior dentist that I had, in fact, "missed appointments". I tried to explain, but Dr. Feldt would not let me explain the circumstances. We continued with another appointment and I then waited, once again, for prior approval for dental services. My dental appointments began in June 2015 & it is now almost one year later.

At my last appointment with Dr Feldt, I began the whole denture thing, boy was I excited! I was getting a new smile, chewing food I had not tasted in years, & most of all increased self-confidence!! Last week, Larry Feldt's office called to RESCHEDULE an appointment and because of double booking...I missed my appointment. I called the office, apoligized & the receptionist informed me that Dr. Feldt would make the decision whether or not to keep me as a patient. Today I received a letter stating that the dental practice would no longer accept me as their patient because of "missed multiple appointments".

I believe that Dr. Feldt based his decision on personal opinion meaning that not only would he have to receive partial payment from Medicare/Medicaid, but Family Health Care's unfair practice of a decision that deserved more care & humanity. I have continually received prejudiced & inadequate health & dental care since my disability. White Cloud dental care & Larry Feldt, DDS would not receive a decent recommendation from me...EVER!

I also would not recommend a disabled, state insured person to employ either dental practice.
