Great place. I get my prescriptions here as well as follow ups. I have yet to have a bad experience.

As a new patient, I found all staff and my primary physician very efficient with little to no wait before I was seen promptly. These people are on it!

Really the BEST place for not only the LGBT community, but anyone who feels they need a little more attention or feel they do not get the specialized care Fenway provides. Really excellent place I've had my PCP for 12 years!

I've had a growing list of problems with almost every visit when dealing with Fenway Health. Everybody is a pleasure to talk to, but there seems to be very poor communication. Two largest issues were: 1- They sent an incorrect address to a diagnostic lab, causing an overdue bill that triggered a collections on my account (I was never informed I would be expecting a bill). 2- I was never informed that I would need multiple visits for a given procedure. 3- When visiting their optometrist on Boylston Street I had asked point blank if I was covered there as well and was told 'yes' only to learn later that I was not. 4- They have registered 2 different account numbers to my name that process the same statements, and on last speaking with them they have no idea how it happened nor how to resolve it. This was all caused by visits that occurred within a single month. Very disorganized.

Doctor Ethan Brackett, I believe, blasted the heat in the exam room (which is highly unsanitary) on purpose (on a day when I was drenched in sweat because my body wasnt working properly) in an effort to get me out of there quickly, since they lied about having access to the thermostat anywhere, and found out it was a lie when I played with a thermostat in the waiting area.
Dr. Brackett also didn't believe me or any of my symptoms, such as when I said I think I have Gastroparesis and he said he didn't think so with what he knows about me and thought I was just crazy.
A few months later I was proven correct with a gastric emptying study that I had to ask for myself, since the gastroenterologist, Dr Sheth, at Beth Israel didn't care to give me that test after I complained about water sloshing around my stomach for hours, so i had to ask his fellow doctor, Dr Gianotti, who worked under Dr Sheth, over email, for that test (which came back with severe gastroparesis).
Also prior to the gastro study, I had to ask for stool fat test, that he wouldn't have ordered, from Dr. Brackett, since the visits prior to that, I had major intestinal issues and told him and another doctor there that I had steathorrea, yet every visit he wouldnt order the test if I didnt ask so I had to really push him on it. The test came back abnormal of course, and thats when i got referral to gastro doc.
You really have to be an advocate for yourself and sometimes have to play doctor by educating yourself, because many doctors just view you as there job, like objects on an assembly line and yes, they are highly educated and know how to memorize and regurgitate, but they don't use critical thinking skills, and when they don't know answers they just love to not believe you or say it's all in your head, because that can't be disproven.
I live in this body so I can tell when I'm sure about something.
None of these tests would have been performed had I not requested them myself. Its bad when you have to play Doctor because your Doctor couldn't care less about symptoms that they cant figure out, so they just assume its all in your head or they just ignore your complaint and don't believe it.
Also the pharmacists there seem grumpy and lazy when you ask for transfers.
The Boylston Street location is much better in my opinion!
