I had a wonderful time at La Ferme DROUIN last week.  The staff was very friendly and welcoming.  I went with  my colleagues from work and they all thought it was their greatest sugar shack experience ever. 
First the food was just amazing . We all loved the crispy pork ....it's the real stuff . The pancakes, ham, pea soup were just delicious. Also,the taffy on the snow  is included in the price of meal even though there was lots of choice for desert!
We had lots of fun visiting the animals and then went for the wagon ride to the sugar shack cabin.  The guide there was very nice and friendly and seemed to really enjoy what he was doing. 
 He explained about the maple trees varieties and even took us to the cabin where they boil the syrup water. Even if it wasn't time for the boiling yet, the guide explained the whole process to us and was very patient to answer all our questions. It was very educational. 
After that adventure in the bush we came back to the farm and a few of us went tubbing down the hill.  What a fun place to be ! I recommend Ferme Drouin to everyone.

The good first. The staff was very friendly. We went to their sugar bush, first off $22 per person is not cheap but i have seen other places at that rate. Unfortunately the 22 dollars does not include the taffy. The food was below average. The pork rinds were just pieces of thick bacon, the ham was sliced pressed ham and the pancaces were more like minature crepes. The baked beans were a little undercooked and the pea soup was very underspiced. The deserts were very good. 
We also decided to pay extra and go on the wagon ride and I need to stress out that the cost of 2 dollars was much too high for the value received. The ride consist of driving 5 minutes on the main road to the farm, followed by a 15 minute guided hike to see the trees with buckets, and the boiling room where the maple goodness is boiled down. Problem is, they were closed and nothing was being done. 
The petting farm was... O-K . and the tube sledding was non existent. Overall I feel the hype is overated and again this was just the sugar shack review, their summer activities may be much better. I will not recommend this place for the sugar shack, nor will I be returning.
