This is a nice little park. Great place for a walk and a decent spot to fish. Really interesting name. I am not sure who came up with it. Always makes me think of the poem, of the same name, from my time in the U.S. Calvary.

Halfway down the trail to hell,
In a shady meadow green are souls of all dead Troopers camped,
Near a good old time canteen. 
This eternal resting place 
Is know as fiddler's green.  
Marching past straight through to hell 
The infantry are seen 
Accompanied by the engineers, 
Artillery and Marines. 
For none but the souls of Calvary men
Dismount at fiddler's green. 
Though some go curving down the trail
To seek a warmer scene 
No trooper ever get to hell 
Ere he's emptied his canteen. 
And so rides back to drink again 
With friends at fiddler's green. 
So when man and horse go down 
Beneath a saber keen. 
Or in a roaring charge of fierce melee 
You stop a bullet clean. 
And the hostiles come to get your scalp 
Just empty your canteen 
And put your pistol to your head 
And go to fiddler's green.

It's a decent little park off the beaten path. Nice quiet place for a short walk along the hiking trail, although it is a little overgrown at the moment. There's a couple of nice fishing spots along Butternut Creek that borders the park.
