What a amazing place! The building was actually my grandfather's butcher shop many many years before I existed and my mom grew up in the house behind it,so it was fun to visit. The food was amazing! Best scrambled eggs I've had in quite a while. The cinnamon toast is equally delicious, as is the bacon. Great coffee from higher grounds and the staff is wonderful! Whole the place is on the small side, about 30 or so seats inside. I could see it being very busy at times. I will be visiting next I make it to Traverse City! About a 20 min drive from Traverse city and absolutely worth it! Also lake Leelanau has a lot of cool shops and spaces to explore!

New to our Sunday brunch rotation. She had the Lamb in Puff (pleasant black garlic seasoning) and he had the Breakfast Burrito  (yogurt and salsa topping was just right) with Bundt Cake washed down with Higher Grounds dark roast. Yummy! ... Continue to be delighted by Brian's creations. On 9/10/2017 she had the shepherds pie and I the Bacon Cheeseburger - both were super tasty and I licked the plate as it was the BEST burger right up there with 9 Steak's which is twice as expensive!

Stopped in while touring the area.  The mushroom burger was hands down the BEST burger I've ever had (I don't say that lightly, because until I ate here my darling wife made the best burger I've ever had, but I'm compelled by honesty to confess that hers are now second best - and she's looking over my shoulder right now, so you know I'm being honest).  We'll definitely be back.
Also, very friendly staff.  Eat here.

Great food! Very flavorful eggs and potatoes! Service was also great! Very attentive waitress. Highly recommended.

The food was good. Ambience fun, service a bit rushed and detached. But overall I would give it a go again.  Maybe they'll have more staff and smiles. I'm not writing it off entirely because the potential is definitely there.
