Story

Fin-n-Feather Pet Shop is a locally owned and family operated full line pet shop that has been in business for over 40 years. In 1973, Martin and Virginia Casanova purchased Fin-n-Feather Pet Shop then located at 432 Grotto. Several years later their sons, Mark and Rick Casanova, joined them making Fin-n-Feather a family run business.


By 1979 Rick and his wife Ginger took over the business setting the stage for substantial growth. In 1985 Fin-n-Feather moved to 2931 F st., their current location then shared with another business. With the new 2000 sq. ft. store, Heather, Rick’s daughter, joined the Fin-n-Feather family in 1995. With the amount of growth experienced, it wasn’t long before the business took over the entire building and an additional building located near by.

Rick Casanova passed away in 2003, but because of his amazing business savvy, Fin-n-Feather has followed the example he set and continues to grow today. Ginger, Heather, and Dean the longest non-family employee continue to run Fin-n-Feather and embrace opportunities for growth wherever they can. Our staff of over 15 amazing employees provides superior knowledge and hands on experience. Involvement in the community, yearly events, and an informational forum are all important aspects of the Fin-n-Feather family philosophy. From tropical fish to birds and reptiles, there are no limits for service with an emphasis on customer satisfaction.
