Story

Financial Resources Federal Credit Union, one of the largest credit unions in New Jersey, is a not-for-profit full-service banking institution whose primary mission is to be a trusted, life long financial partner by offering complete best in class financial solutions and service to our members, their families and the communities within Somerset, Middlesex and Hunterdon Counties, and business services for its member companies and organizations. Financial Resources is regulated by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), and savings are federally insured to at least $250,000 and backed by the full faith and credit of the United States Government. The Credit Union is headquartered in Bridgewater, NJ.

U.S. Membership is open to employees, retirees, associates, and their family and household members of almost any company or organization who would like to become a member of Financial Resources Federal Credit Union. Financial Resources has almost 25,000 members and total assets of over $400 million.

Financial Resources has a nine-member volunteer Board of Directors elected by the membership. The Board of Directors retains a President & Chief Executive Officer to oversee the daily operations. An independent CPA auditing firm as well as the NCUA conduct annual reviews of Financial Resources.

Great APR on a car loan, but I've been trying to get an automatic payment authorization form emailed to me for over a year now.  Also, forget about trying to navigate their website to make an online payment. Impossible.

I was a victim of fraud . I trusted this bank for many years . 

When using a credit, debit, or bank online you can run into some risks that your personal information or money could be stolen. That means a vast majority of people are exposed to this threat. I happened to be a victim of this data breach. But the reality is that banks cannot refuse a refund because, on the balance of probabilities, it feels there may have been fraud. It has to prove negligence or fraud, yet in many cases they are now turning down refunds where they have suspicion only. But, despite clear rules that state banks can only refuse to refund a customer if he or she has acted "fraudulently" or had been "grossly negligent", as I had played no part in the transactions through MoneyGram on my bank account. Internet transactions are really insecure. I was trying to be responsible, trying to take care of everything, Instead, I found myself in an even bigger hole. I was getting a loan to refinance my vehicle and a few moments later someone had went to money gram and added fake checks into my account I took every precaution to make sure this was listed. When I realized my account was inaccurate I reported the delinquencies, I spoke to Nepa in the greenbrook branch November 3 at 9:00 am when I had realized my account was compromised. Prior to calling the green brook branch I had contacted money gram immediately to cancel the form of payment that was set on my account, than took every step to insure the safety of my account. When speaking with Nepa she had explain that my account has been comprised and there was a duplicate card under my name that was able to access my funds and transfer money grams onto my mobile banking account. As I had my card on hand no one other than myself uses my debit card. Ms. Nepa as the expert, who specializes in resolving these issues assured me that my account will be resolved, as she helped address the problems I may have overlooked. Following up on November 9th at 2:00pm I contacted Mr. Clarke which he is located in the greenbrook branch reviewed my claim of fraud he declined my dispute. I filled a police report, I have appealed the decision which is why I am writing this letter. If the credit card company denies your fraud claim, you are entitled to ask for an explanation and to appeal the decision. Mr. Clarke did not have proper documentation substantiating my claim. I have the police report, evidence that I was not in the city or state where the charges occurred, and I will resubmit my claim to my credit card company. In my case where I did not authorize the charges, there should be more protection available for me and my assets.

Best customer service. Highly recommended this branch. I opened an account in the last week, Everybody was so helpful. Me & my wife became a member and they also gave us small present for becoming an member. I am not sure why other people gave 1 or 2 stars. I am working with a Mortgage loan officer for my new house, Person name Bill Panayote is the best person to deal with. All the team even senior underwriter also very helpful. They respond your emails and phone calls as fast as possible. They really work with the customer. I highly recommended to purchase the loan from this branch of Financial Resources FCU.

The slowest customer service ever. Apparently they open at 9:00am on Saturday, but if you call at 9:05 there's a 20-minute wait with hold music before you can actually speak with a representative. Then when they email you, you can't respond back because the mailbox is full. How is anyone getting help or their questions answered if no one is answering phones or emails? I'm technically not even a member yet (I'm waiting for bank funds to transfer) and already it's been a horrible experience.

FINANCIAL CREDIT RESOURCES are the worst to do business with especially when you are not working when you try your best go maintain your account they with hit you with Fees after you transfer funds, even if you are a value customer who been with them for years treat you like CRAP that is no way to DO BUSINESS  I'M going to open my account with another bank who will treat me with respect.
