Did not use them to move. In fact I called the number on the website and the recording stated Tom was unavailable until Friday? (no date) Call Josh. I did, Josh told me to call the number I just did and stated that Toms voicemail was wrong and in fact it was Josh that was out of town. After reading the reviews and the above conversation I elected to move on to another moving company! Sorry that you have this much confusion going on in your company. Good Luck!

Unfortunately the customer service provided by Finnemore-Harris Moving was not excellent. We originally contacted them for our move from Des Moines to the Johnston area. We needed our things stored for a couple of weeks in between moving out of our old home and into our new, so they seemed like a great choice. However, the problems started almost immediately. Originally we worked with a gentlemen named Matt. Part of the reason we chose to work with this company is because they tell you they will provide boxes. We were told we would have boxes by the weekend in order to start packing. I texted Matt on Thursday asking when the boxes could be dropped off. I received no response. I followed up with him on Saturday and was told he wasn't able to provide boxes until the following week. Fortunately Tom was able to drop boxes off that Sunday after my husband called the company's direct number. Once the boxes were dropped off, we realized no wardrobe boxes were provided as we were told they would be. We followed up with Matt who once again and he said he would bring some by the following day. Long story short, this went on for several days with him never showing up when he said he would. Finally he said he did not have boxes and we had to buy them ourselves. Which was fine, but we could have had them several days before if he had let us know that in the beginning. The actual day of our move went ok. However after moving into our new home, we realized in the process of moving our fridge, they broke the plug. Once again we contacted Matt who said he would fix the fridge the following day. Again he did not show up to fix it at the agreed upon time.. We had to follow up with him to find out he wasn't going to make it. After 3-4 days of this we contacted Tom. Tom did come out and move the fridge into our house, but without fixing the plug. This was on a Saturday. He said he would be back that same day to repair it. He did not make it back that day or the following day. On Monday, he contacted us to let us know he couldn't fix it until Thursday. We had a non-working fridge sitting in our kitchen for over a week because they did not return to fix it. Needless to say, I would not recommend this company. The guys they hire to help do the moving are very nice and pleasant, but the customer service is very frustrating and unreliable.

The gentleman I spoke to on the phone was very polite. I believe his name was Dave or Tom? The price I paid I felt was very reasonable, considering they moved my hot tub. The Matt guy they had move my hot tub was a real piece of work. He lost a piece to my hot tub and chewed my boyfriend out over where to back in his trailer. He does not need to be involved in customer interaction. He is rude, short tempered and obviously not responsible enough to move belongings in a short drive without losing property and he doesn't care to look for it either. I had higher hopes for company so highly recommended to me. Glad the move is over with. If I chose them again I will for sure request that Matt is NOT involved.

Wish I could provide a better review for this company. Unfortunately, Matt Ellsbury kind of ruins everything for them. He doesn't keep his word. While i was very flexible with my move date - he didn't keep my original date and it had to change right before the move date. I was fortunate that it didn't impact me - but I'm sure iI was in a SMALL minority of people who could have managed that. I would definitely not trust ANYTHING Matt Ellsbury says or does. He will even take money and not return it when the services are not provided. Now I have to go through an attorney to get my money back.

Customer service was great prior to moving day when questions came up. Did a fairly decent job of moving me with only a few minor incidents (a few marks on my furniture, dinged up walls and mud on my carpet). However, Tom (the owner) brought additional men without my knowledge and charged me double what I had agreed to during the quote process. When I tried to discuss it with him, he proceeded to argue and tell me that he had to move on to the next job. I made the mistake of paying him in full to keep a stressful day from becoming worse. In hindsight, I shouldn't have done that. Calls to Matt, who gave me the quote, went unreturned. I've heard since from colleagues that similar instances of being over-changed and word has quickly spread around my office, so will not be using them again the future, unfortunately.
