The mission of the Firehouse is to advance the arts and humanities in the Greater Newburyport region by fostering the growth and development of the individual artists and cultural organizations through its programs and services; stimulating understanding of and participation in the arts and humanities, and; presenting, sponsoring and producing a broad range of cultural, educational and artistic programs.

What a neat building. The exposed wood rafters reminded me of days gone by. The show was fun and the sound system was great.

Great venue to see a local show. Some top taken and a great area to explore by foot. Parking lot (manicipal with credit card ticket for the fee of it is before 6pm) across the street. Great to talk to a local restaurant or ice cream and then catch a show.

What a wonderful place!  Have seen 2 plays there so far and loved them. Building is beautiful and every seat in the house is a good one!

Great place to take in a show! Plenty of nearby restaurants to enjoy prior or after a show! Plenty of parking nearby. Highly recommended this place!!!

The firehouse is a really nice theater with a lovely atmosphere and very nice backstage. The staff tends to be slightly unfriendly:(
