First Baptist Church in Burley is a quality family worship center. I moved here from California 3 years ago and searched for a good, Non L.D.S., church to attend with not much luck. Most of the churches in my area are smaller churches and were filled with more older adults and less families with children. And while that is fine if you are a single adult this wouldn't be such an issue but when you are a single parent looking for a family oriented church this can be a turn off. I was looking for a Christian church with core family values and other parents with children to attend and I found this in First Baptist Church in Burley. They have family friendly church services, a short child's sermon in the beginning of the service, after child's sermon all the kids are taken to Sunday school, they have a daycare/play room for children 4 and under, they have a group of 4+ people who sing and lead the hymn's (and there are usually a few) and several members of the congregation who give sermons from time to time (group participation), and currently they have a Pastor who is a Military Veteran and served as a Chaplin in the U.S. Navy who is very good and gives great sermons and they are currently reviewing other Pastors for one of them to fill in and be our full-time pastor. Bottom line is that the church is a very good, family oriented, Non L.D.S. church (in an area where most churches are L.D.S.), , and I feel it is a great place to bring your family to worship. Come to First Baptist Church to worship any Sunday and you will be welcomed with open arms... I hope this review helps you in making your decision.
