Story

WHAT WE BELIEVE
At FBC, our mission is to serve as a gateway to the central Rio Grande as well as to the rest of the world. We believe our vision is to fulfill the Great Commission and Acts 1:8, challenging ourselves through the 6 purposes of the church: Worship, Evangelism, Discipleship, Ministry, Fellowship, and Missions.

We are a Texas Baptist Church affiliated with the Baptist General Convention of Texas, the Southern Baptist Convention, and the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship. We support missions through the North American Mission Board and International Mission Board.

Ephesians 2:8-22
We believe that salvation is given through faith in Jesus Christ.
2 Timothy 3:15-16
We believe that the Bible is the authority for faith and practice.
1 Peter 2:8-9
We believe that all believers are priests before God, competent to interpret scripture, and are free to follow the Holy Spirit.
Colossians 2:12
We believe in baptism by immersion for believers of Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior.
1 Peter 5:3
We believe that each church is autonomous and self-governing.
Acts 15
We believe that cooperative missions is based on mutual trust and shared decision making.
