Originally founded in 1934, for the Corps of Engineers New Orleans District, First Castle FCU is the second oldest federally chartered credit union in the United States. Today, we proudly serve all of St. Tammany Parish and our Corps of Engineers members, and offer a wide variety of financial products and services.

First Castle Credit Union - What a wonderful place to entrust with all your financial needs. Welcoming staff and most kind and patient to senior citizens like me! They are helpful and respectful to everyone, old or new and prospective members, we all get the same great attention.

I have had several loan accounts with this credit union, and have had problems with every single one. I have struggled financially for years and was treated like trash by employees, rather than them taking the time to help me and find a solution. I would absolutely never recommend anyone get a loan through this credit union. Most of the employees, not all but most, are very rude and come off snobby.

Horrible credit union, avoid them at all cost. Tried to use them for a boat loan, they told me they would loan 50% of the value of the boat. According to the appraisal I had done on the boat and 4 other banks who ran the value the boat was worth 30,000$. These people told me it's only worth 20k and offered me 7800$. I would love for them to find me this boat for 20k even trade in value anywhere. Thank you for wasting my time and a hit on my credit.

Terrible customer service, almost every time I call no matter the time of day there is no answer. They talk to their customers with an attitude and argue with them on unimportant matters. They charge rediculous fees when you pay online or with a credit card, I believe it's a $20 fee for every payment I make... Their online bill pay is hard to find and navigate, and there is no option to login so you have to provide all your information for every payment. And like I said when I try to call to make a payment sometimes there is just no answer during business hours to their primary phone!!! These are just some of the issues, the list goes on.. Summary: The worst lender I have ever dealt with and some of the worst customer service I have EVER had. I go out of my way to tell all my friend's and family to not use this company.
