This stately synagogue, designed in the Eastern European Orthodox tradition by architect C.C.Elwood of Elkhart, IN., was dedicated on July 21,1929.
Major building renovations renewed the beauty of the structure in1997. Current upgrades improved safety, code compliance & utilization of our STRICTLY Kosher Kitchen. The small congregation of appx 56 paid members. A few year-round, permanent local families and many summer residents (primarily Chicagoans) actively support operations. Relatives and visitors from Coast to Coast, North to South are welcome here.
All Jews may participate in services (including the High Holiday services) and anyone may attend. Helpful Volunteers and Donations are always appreciated!
