Services

Our Sunday morning schedule of worship changes and adapts as the local population shifts from our high (winter) season numbers to the lower summer months. A reminder of the change in worship schedule is announced several weeks in advance through the Sunday bulletin and website.

Our current Sunday morning schedule is three services –
7:30 AM (First Light), 9 AM and 11 AM.
Sunday Morning Worship

JANUARY through APRIL
7:30 AM (First Light*), 9 AM and 11 AM

MAY through JULY
8 AM (First Light*) and 10 AM

AUGUST
10 AM

SEPTEMBER through DECEMBER
8 AM (First Light*) and 10 AM

*First Light is an early service that includes all the basic worship elements of music, message (the same message that will be preached at the later service) and scripture, but in a 35 to 40-minute time frame. Those who plan to worship at this earlier time are encouraged to “come as you are” — ready for next thing on your schedule, whether it’s golf, fishing, or attending our Adult Sunday morning class.

Mission

Congregational Care

The Mission of First Presbyterian Church emphasizes our desire to be a welcoming and nurturing family — which includes sharing one another’s joys and sorrows in practical ways. The Parish Nurse and the Visitation Team work together under the direction of the pastors, and in concert with them, to provide timely and meaningful assistance to those of our congregation who face particular challenges.

First Presbyterian Church has a dedicated phone number for pastoral care issues. If you know of anyone who is in the hospital, recuperating or in need of our prayers, call the Pastoral Care Line: (239) 992-6887. Leave a message with as much information as possible. This line is checked daily, the needs are logged, and the ministers notified of all pastoral care concerns.
Biblical Counseling Ministry

Focusing on the sufficiency of Scripture to meet all of life’s challenges, our Certified Biblical Counselor is available to assist members of the First Church family as needed. Meetings are totally confidential. Contact Maria Karl to schedule an appointment through the church office (239-992-3233).
