We are a resurrected historic church which has served Safety Harbor since 1922. Reformed in 2010, we strive to be God's hands and feet welcoming to ALL. FPCSH is a congregation of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.).

Story

We're a welcoming, diverse, historic congregation. Sunday worship is at 11:00 am (traditional) First Presbyterian is a P.C.U.S.A church and has deep roots in Safety Harbor. In 1918, a group of 10 Presbyterian women sat around a table with an idea for a Presbyterian church in Downtown Safety Harbor. We were officially chartered in April, 1922, and then again in 2010 when First Presbyterian Safety Harbor was resurrected to celebrate it's original values. We are a church that celebrates diverse and inclusive beliefs, and where everyone is welcome, no matter what. We engage in mission by partnering with the Harbor Dish and Mattie Williams Neighborhood center on various projects. We enjoy building relationships within our community by taking care of each other, breaking bread after worship and Second Sunday Potluck lunch. We enjoy learning about the Word of God Sundays, at 11am. And we like to have fun, whether its partnering with City events such as 3rd Fridays, Scare Zones, and Safety Harbor parades, or our annual Pet Blessing. We also enjoy sharing our space with the community including a Korean Church, and 10 Recovery Support Groups including AA, NA, and Al-Anon. We are glad to provide a sanctuary for seekers of faith, healing and community. Come for a visit and check us out!

Mission

We have a variety of mission projects including serving dinner at Safe Harbor, and supporting Mattie Williams Neighborhood Assoc with food and clothing donations, and support the Safety Harbor library with our seed donations, and Chair-ty donation.
